  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

My surgery is in July I believe, I need the surgery it is litterally a matter of life and death for me. My only worry is the vitamens I have to take daily for the rest of my life. My insurace does not cover them. I think I can stretch them down to about 40 a month but I am disability and that means I live on poverty wages, which is fine I have never had many needs. But I am worried on how I am gonna do this. 40 a month does not seem like much but when you conisder the cost of living today and the fact that I get just less that a 1000 a month its a trick. The cost of living is going up but people on disability are getting amounts that would have worked 50 years ago. So looking for advice. I am assuming there are people here on disability and soc sec and just looking for tricks to make life a bit easier.

Hi brother, Praying God gives you wisdom and success not only in reducing your weight but also in ways to increase your income. I do not think that many could live on 1000 a month, so hopefully you get some other assistance as needed. So you are right to look at both the procedure and follow up which includes the cost of those vitamins for your well-being. Hopefully others can address ways you can manage that better, or offer alternatives.

Medicaid or Medicare Advantage will cover vitamins. Im assuming youre on one of them since youre on disability. So if you request your doctors to prescribe them, you should be fine. But make sure your insurance will cover it, although most do.
