God is almighty, all-powerful.
He grants every person the choice to believe in him or not. He grants to every person the choice to remain faithful to his commandments until death. God doesn't force people to love/obey him.
God is love. God will adopt us as his sons and daughters and grant us eternal life with him after we die if we have loved him in return. 1 John 4:8
Did God chose Israel because they would obey Him? They killed the prophets and murdered His Son.
Did Christ not say to the apostles:
John 15:16
You did not choose Me, but I chose you. And I appointed you to go and bear fruit—fruit that will remain—so that whatever you ask the Father in My name, He will give you
2 Thessalonians 2:13
But we should always thank God for you, brothers who are
loved by the Lord, because God chose you from the beginning to be saved by the sanctification of the Spirit and by faith in the truth.
Ephesians 1:4
For He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world to be holy and blameless in His presence. In love
1 Peter 2:9
But
you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for God’s own possession, to proclaim the virtues of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light.
After Adam sinned, neither he nor his descendants could enter eternal life with God. Angels with swords barred heaven's entrance. That is why the spirits of Abraham and all other righteous people were in Hades instead of in heaven after their physical death. Genesis 3:24,
Luke 16:23
God's son Jesus Christ died sacrificially on the cross to redeem us from Adam's sin. His sacrifice makes eternal life with God possible for all people. Romans 5:12,
Romans 5:19
God first saves us when we believe and are baptized according to Jesus Christ's command. Jesus said belief in him together with our baptism will save us. Matthew 28:18-2,
Mark 16:15-16
Adam was locked out of the garden preventing him from having eternal life. If he was a sinner, how could he get eternal life?
Having contempt for one's fellow man is a mortal sin, and if this sin is not repented before he dies, he will be thrown into the lake of fire.
Matthew 5:22
But I say to you that if you are angry with a brother or sister, you will be liable to judgment; and if you insult a brother or sister, you will be liable to the council; and if you say, ‘You fool,’ you will be liable to the hell of fire.
Failing to provide sustenance to needy family members is a mortal sin, and if not repented before he dies, he will be thrown into the lake of fire.
1 Timothy 5:8
And whoever does not provide for relatives, and especially for family members, has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever.

Here's some worse than an infidel and the judgement Paul pronounces on him.
1 Corinthians 5:
1It is actually reported that there is sexual immorality among you, and of a kind that is not tolerated even among pagans, for a man has his father’s wife.
2And you are arrogant! Ought you not rather to mourn? Let him who has done this be removed from among you.
3For though absent in body, I am present in spirit; and as if present,
I have already pronounced judgment on the one who did such a thing. 4When you are assembled in the name of the Lord Jesus and my spirit is present, with the power of our Lord Jesus,
5you are to deliver this man to Satan for the destruction of the flesh, so that his spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord.
In Matthew 5, Christ is pointing out that under the law, even the slightest sin such as insulting someone by calling them a fool, will lead to Gehenna
In Matthew 25, It was all leading up to the destruction of Jerusalem.
Read Matthew 10 where Jesus sends His disciples
23When they persecute you in one town, flee to the next. Truly I tell you,
you will not reach all the towns of Israel before the Son of Man comes.

f anyone gives even a cup of cold water to one of these little ones because he is My disciple, truly I tell you, he will never lose his reward.”
Matthew 25:45 Then he will answer them, saying, ‘Truly, I say to you, as you did not do it to one of the least of
these, you did not do it to me.’
--It's a near demonstrative pronoun referring to His apostles in chapter 10.
The Holy Spirit guarantees eternal life only to the people who obey Him.
Acts 5:32
Romans 10:
8But what does it say? “The word is near you; it is in your mouth and in your heart,” that is, the word of faith we are proclaiming:
9that if you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead,
you will be saved. 10For with your heart you believe and are justified, and with your mouth you confess and are saved.
Where does it say "might be saved"?
