The people who actually spend the time and money to go through an official process generally aren't the people anyone needs to be worried about.

When you think about it, they are, in essence, the gun owners who have voluntarily submitted to the process that a lot of Democrats say they want for guns. (background checked, finger printed, mandatory training/testing, registered).

In a state of 11 million, only a small percentage of us actually have them. One of the reasons why 40+ states will honor the Ohio permit (even some of the blue states) is because Ohio is also actually fairly diligent about rejecting and suspending licenses as when need be. (IE: house-cleaning)
