  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I think I'm done with the NFL, again.

I drifted back into it after about ten years away. It's not even close to the same game that it was when I was younger.

The super bowl was one big gay parade. They ruined it.

I think if the U.S.F.L was still around, it would be gaining in popularity rapidly. Many people are sick of what the NFL is doing.

Can the NFL survive with it's current political agenda attached?

I think I'm done with the NFL, again. This time for good. If another league starts, I may be an instant fan. If there was ever a time to challenge the NFL with another outdoor league, it's now.

Would you be prone to support another league if one started up?

Is it a worse game because gays are part of the team?

I didn't know they were. I only know that the NFL is pushing their agenda. A false world view. It's Hollywood in the NFL. ESPN started it years back., then one by one..... This power that controls them is so strong that billionaire team owners bend a knee to it. It's always about money. That's why one cannot serve God and money both. I thought that Jerry Jones would stand up to them, but apparent not.

It's always been about money- why take notice now?

It's not just about making money, honest money, it's about making gobs of it, and holding onto what you already have, all if you just go with the program. If, you're an NFL owner, or the owner of any big business, and you stand against these powers, they destroy you. That's the power of Satan and his politically correct system. That's why you can't serve God and money both.

Just look at Hollywood for the model. If you tow the company line, you'll get taken care of. We see this all the time where very bad actors, and entertainers who are forced on the public because they tow the company line. I'm surprised that Miley Cyrus wasn't working the halftime show. Maybe they forgot about Rachel Zegler too. They had every other anti American there. Hollywood must be blushing with joy at how dumbed down people are today. Cattle, nothing more.

Now imagine that same power threatening a billionaires wealth. Say what we say, believe what we believe and you are allowed to continue to prosper. Bud light anyone? Just saying.

Yeah but what does that have to do with gays?

I understand the feeling that the game has changed a lot. The NFL is still very strong, so any new league would need time to prove itself. I’d probably wait before switching fully.

I liked it growing up, & love watching sports.

But I just can't care for the NFL. I think it's just a bad product in general. It's not the politics, the 'softening of it', whatever people say. I just can't get into it.

I like the NHL, MLB, NBA, college, but the NFL, no. I agree I'd like to see some rival league challenge it. They're trying spring leagues but I haven't watched those much.

My father and I followed the Cleveland Browns for decades. Being a Browns fan helps one keep humble.
I've enjoyed watching football because I played football for several years.Enjoyed playing defense.
I doubt I would follow a new league football team with any regulatory.

I became a huge fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers waaayyy back in 1972. The NFL is my favorite professional sports league and the Steelers are my number 1 favorite team. All other teams I like come in a distant 2nd, 3rd, and 4th for me when I rank them with the Pittsburgh Steelers.
