This Mahdi is suppose to bring peace to the world, not just Iran. This person is not understood to be a prophet or Messiah. No doubt Mohammed twisted Christianity into his image however maybe we should look into our own backyard. The man who desperately wants the Nobel Peace Prize and will do anything to get it by starting wars all around the world and then seeking peace thereafter.

Most Christians do not equate the Mahdi with the Antichrist, only a small minority of evangelicals do. It's a fringe interpretation of the end times. The majority of the world's Christians have probably never even heard of the Mahdi.

As the Twelfth Imam is purely a figment of the Shi-ite Muslim imagination, we don't need to worry about him.

What we do need to be concerned about, is the Lords many Prophesies which tell us, in great detail; how He intends to dispose of His enemies and to Bless His faithful peoples. Commencing with Iran: Isaiah 21:1-3, Jeremiah 50:35-37, Ezekiel 32:24-25

The Muslim Mahdi is the Antichrist person theory does not work. The Antichrist when he becomes the beast will be worshiped. The Muslim in their religion don't worship the Mahdi.

Also, the religion of Islam will basically dissolve upon the completion of the Gog/Magog event. Their god Allah fails to stand against the God of Israel.

With the Muslim occupation/control of the temple mount eliminated, the Jews will tear down the dome of the Rock and Al Asqa mosque and begin rebuilding their temple.

The Mahdi is not in their Koran & is mostly a Shia tradition.

No, we don't know the Mahdi as "the antichrist."

What we know as the antichrist won't look like what Shia Muslims expect the Mahdi to look like.

This idea about hastening the return of a Messiah is purely a figment of Christian Nationalist imagination that Christian Nationalists are projecting on a group they think is as loony as they are.

Indeed, Islam has a very specific idea of what the Antichrist, which they call the “Dajjal,” will look like visually and in other respects. I find it almost as wacky as the story in the Quran about Alexander the Great meeting the setting Western sun at a pool as the two relaxed before the sun had to travel to the East to light up the Orient.

These stories are not unique to Islam. Both the description of a one-eyed deceiving Antichrist with a mark on his forehead found in the hadiths and the Quranic story of Dhul-Qarnayn, whom many identify as being Alexander the Great, meeting the western sun at a muddy pool were borrowed from or influenced by Christian folklore and writings that were circulating at the time of Islam's emergence in the 7th century.
