  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I had every 'gender-affirming' surgery. Here’s why I’m now speaking the truth

Theodore Dalrymple, senior fellow at the Manhattan Institute, has said one of the ways in which neo-Marxist social justice totalitarians exert control is by humiliating people into admitting or professing that something is true which they know is not true. Forcing them to say things they know are false is the ultimate exertion of power and control.

Dalrymple’s view got me thinking about how “trans” language has amassed power and control over so many, including people of faith who carelessly use words they know cannot be true. The “social justice totalitarians” of which Dalrymple speaks have been enforcing the use of language we know is false and not representative of God’s biblical design of men and women.

As a believer who has recovered from the false beliefs of “trans” ideology and now helps others, I’ve learned that my language must be truthful to honor and glorify God. Speaking truth can bring people out of identity confusion into a relationship with Jesus, where they will find what has been missing — true identity, redemption, and restoration.

For starters, consider the word “transgender.” Immutable biological science proves the word “transgender” is false because nobody biologically changes genders. Transitioning from one gender to the other is impossible. That absolute truth gets buried under the cascade of false language that follows: “transition,” “detransition,” “gender assigned at birth.”

Identifying as something does not make it magically happen. People may identify as “transgender,” but their physical core hasn’t changed. A man born male is still a man; a woman born female is still a woman, each determined by their immutable biological composition.

It is the ultimate irony! By her own account, she( Laura Perry Smalts) spent years living a life that required the cooperation and "buy-in" of everyone around her to maintain her sense of peace and identity as Jake. She asked for—and received—the very social grace she is now arguing should be withheld from others. Such hypocrisy . This article is a bit infuriating.

Thanks for sharing.

In my opinion, there is absolutely no social grace at all with the false and sinful transgenderism agenda. Instead, the agenda of transgenderism puts forth and indoctrinates a lie straight from the pit of hell. I praise the Lord Jesus Christ that Walt Heyer, the author of this Washington Stand article, accepted Christ as Savior and rejected and recovered from the transgenderism ideology.

If one considers truth the absolute and unchangeable description of reality (God), then those who are on a trajectory against truth will eventually crash and burn. About half of transgenders will attempt suicide.

One might not be able to get much traction with a transgender on their ascent as the pleasure they obtain from delusion can resit most presentations of truth. However, since so many come to th sad realization that what they sought was only vain imagination, there is a great opportunity for these to hear truth when reality has its brutal work.

Rather than being affirming, it might be better to tell a transgender that while it might seem rude to not be affirming, if they come to the point of regret that they can give you a call and learn that regardless of what one has done, that the love of Christ is always available.

I wonder... if someone is suffering from Alzheimers, everyone has the sense to know that with that particular dillusion, there is a manner of treating the patient that is considered gracious, merciful and in their best interest. And that method is to not stir the pot; to not constantly yell at them they are wrong.

Imagine tell poor grandma in an angry tone "I am your son. You are forgetting I am your son because you are sick It's so dumb. Why don't you just remember? You keep forgetting and it hurts my feelings".

Nobody would EVER do that for someone's grandma with dementia.

You are quite comfortable saying transgenderism is a mental illness but you seem to believe that that type of dementia is best handled by insulting them and criticizing them.

Some may even argue that that love is available to them already. And that they experience it.
And that they know it.

Biology knows that there are only 2 genders. The LORD God created only 2 genders. On the other hand, the transgender agenda is a demonic lie straight from the pit of hell.

Christians should care more about what's in someone's heart than what their body looks like.

The medical establishment ostensibly follows the Hippocratic Oath to do no harm. If they are doing harm, as was the case with that individual, then they need to look into why that happened. To hopefully prevent it from happening again.

Lying is a sin. I will not lie to someone and affirm they are a gender that they were not assigned at birth. Not to mention, its actually unloving to affirm lies. Imagine if we started doing that to people with eating disorders. "You are absolutely fat at 96 pounds! I totally see it, you're so right!"

Gender dysphoria needs to be put back in the medical books as a mental disorder so people can actually get help.

Christians should care about the truth instead of the feelings in the heart of a person being deceived by the demonic lie of transgenderism.

We should care about the truth, but we should care about the whole truth. People judge outward appearance, and often make a fuss about it, but God sees the heart.

God also sees and created each and every chromosomes in every human body. God created the chromosomes that cause the biological differences between male and female.

God also made each and every person who identifies as trans. Much like he made intersex individuals who sometimes have more than two chromosomes. It's a complex topic.

I think if people didn't make gender such a big deal there would be less gender dysphoria and fewer sex changes. Transitioning doesn't change who that person is deep down.

There's a difference between God's design and a birth defect. People who have more than 2 chromosomes or intersex people, would be birth defects, not Gods design. It goes back to Genesis. God made male and female and the intent is for them to cling to each other in union and pro-create. There's zero mention of anything else apart from Jeremiah lamenting about men looking like they're pregnant during a vision of the last days. So clearly, it's not something "God made" as if it was His intention to do so.

Can you see the person that God made despite the appearances? If so, that's the important part. They're every bit as made in God's image as we are.

The person in the article went through some confusing and traumatic life events, but I don't think we're winning points with God by bullying trans people. Doing so doesn't demonstrate the fruit of the Spirit. We're better off feeding the hungry, healing the sick, or simply giving thanks for this blessing that we call life.

Not affirming a lie, isn't bullying (actually bullying is wrong though), it's telling the truth and again I say is more loving than accepting that they are something that God didn't create them to be. Helping people accept who God created them to be as a male or female does better for them in the long run mentally than affirming to them that they are a sex that they could honestly never actually be. Not to mention it's dangerous for their actual health. If a man takes too much estrogen, he is at a seriously greater risk of cancer just like a woman who has too much testosterone. And that's just 1 factor when taking synthetic hormones. Is that loving to put them in harms way just because you run the risk of hurting their feelings?

A person being in God's image isn't a carte blanche reason to accept everything a person does or says. I will not lie to someone to make them feel better.

Proverbs 27:6
Wounds from a friend can be trusted,
but an enemy multiplies kisses.

When we tell trans people the truth from the Bible, we are not bullying them at all. Instead, we are trying to get them to see the deceitful lies of the transgender agenda.
