  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

So.... do Creationists have anything new? Or have they given up here?

No, I'm talking about the other, more techno-cractic, trans-humanist type possibilities that make up so many of the dystopian sci-fi movies and novels, and whatnot (not all of which, obviously, will come to pass unless Vanilla Sky is more than just a movie).
I find that position peculiar. I can’t wait; I would give my right arm for a robot arm.

I feel like you're in a cafeteria complaining you're hungry, but won't buy anything and eat it.

Why are you complaining this subforum is "dead," when it contains more unanswered challenges than modern science has truth?

Because your 'challenges' are nothing more than an attempt at stroking your own ego, as I have said before and will continue to say so until you show that they aren't. Which I doubt that you can.

And I'll say it again then:

Thanks for the QED.

You rant because we don't come up with anything new, then when we issue challenges, you claim ego stroking.

You want something new?

Let's discuss the Flood and:
  1. How all those animals fit aboard the Ark?
  2. How all those animals had enough food to eat for a year?
  3. Why isn't there any evidence on earth to corroborate the flood story?
  4. Where did the Grand Canyon come from?
  5. Where did meandering streams come from?
You want to light up a "dead subforum"?

I'll light it up in style.

It's not a QED (You keep using that term and clearly still have no idea what it means), you don't know what a rant is, your continuous references to your own challenges IS ego stroking, all of those questions about the Flood have been addressed and you've just ignored them all ad nauseam, and at most, the only thing I can imagine you'd ever be able to light up in style is a candle and most probably a simple LED one with a switch at the bottom.

What's this then?

But thanks for the continuing QED of you labelling anything and everything you personally dislike and oppose as 'academia'.

For not "clearly having no idea what it means," you used it correctly.

Believe me Warden, I've been put on IGNORE, had some posters (including you?) request thread closure, and told by one poster that if I even post in his thread, he will have it shut down -- (which he did).

And here you are now whining about dead threads.

You are a bit of egotist, aren't you? It's all about yourself, nothing else. Just YOU.

And the thread is not just solely about you, Mister Ego.

Wow.

You can't handle one Christian, and you're ranting whining that 50 others can't come up with something for you?

Because it would be nice to see this forum actually filled with users again! That's what the point of this place is for: for users to use! If users do not use it, it is dead and further contributes to the 'dead internet' theory with is pretty much an academic fact right now.

And the only thing I refuse to 'handle' is your desire to stroke your own ego. Humility is a big thing for Christians, I'm pretty sure.

Absolutely no argument there!

When I first joined here, I saw people asking about how the Creation occurred, questions about the Flood, the Grand Canyon, macroevolution, deep time, etc. and so on.

Good solid questions.

But now ... ?

How about a robot head? Yeah, I don't think either of us want that. ;)

If I could download and have continuity of consciousness in my new head I’d be there before you could say transhumanism.

Aren't the answers to those questions just:
What: "It was a miracle."
Why: "Not sure. He'll tell me if I need to know."

Indeed, you are correct.

My favorite explanation:

God did it.

I take it further though by backing what I believe up with Scripture.

Along with some speculation as well.
