• The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.

If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.

If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. May you be blessed today and each day.

  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Okay so Im diagnosed with schizophrenia but it seems like demons to me. While in church during possible psychosis I was hearing my Pastor praise demons instead of God. I told the Pastor what I heard and he said he never said that.

Then I heard my voices mocking speaking in tongues. I even witnessed is zootopia 2 the characters making fun of it.

What should I do?

Well you can not worry about those two things. I think you are very brave for going to church while in psychosis, bit it might help to be there. Just don’t have a cow if something comes up, like you did this time. Atta boy. You can watch your mind and take thoughts captive as in 2Cor 10:3-5. you will learn to let them flow by and not stop.

going to church helped me get a handle on reality. But maybe be cautious about going at first. Maybe when you feel stronger. You may never find a more honest or loving bunch of people. Indeed a field where you can put your Bible into practice. You don’t have to say everything on your mind. But take it all in and see what others do there. This is not people pleasing or putting a square peg in a round hole, but it’s studying reality to learn from it

I think this sickness is playing tricks with you,
i would suggest try to remain calm, and ignore those things if you can.
Remembering yourself that you have a problem.

You could seek healing from God, he still does miracles today,
until then i believe 'anti pshychotic' medication can help alleviate symptoms.
Sometimes psychiatrist hurt more than heal, is a lottery, but the right medication can help.
