With the arrest of the president of Venezuela and assassination of the head of Iran, it seems like Trump is violating a traditional avoidance of assassination of leaders. Iran is a pretty capable country. I wonder whether this could backfire. While I'm not sure Venezuela has much of a secret miliary presence in the US, it seems within the capability of Iran to target US leadership.

Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) launched a plot to kill Trump before the presidential election. It's not something the major media likes to mention. Right now there are a number of people in the radical Islam/hard left alliance that encourage violence against Trump and those who support him.

I saw videos from Iran, after news came out of their religious leader. It was kinda eerie hearing cheers breaking across Tehran. Another showed thousands of people out in the streets celebrating.
