CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Ghislaine Maxwell was tried and convicted under Biden's DOJ. Releasing information while that was happening would have jeopardized that prosecution. In addition, following her conviction and sentencing the DOJ was likely working an angle to get more concrete information on the individuals that were known at the time and she would have been an integral part of that. Releasing information at that could also jeopardize that. Merrick Garland absolutely slow-walked and dropped the ball on that continuing investigation as well as illegalities by our current sitting president while he was a candidate.
Reading through this thread and seeing what the Trump supporters are "arguing" though is proof positive that it wouldn't matter anyway. None of you seem to have read what has been released so far as you're stating things that are just completely wrong. Either that or you have read it and seen the photos and videos and are just lying about what you read and saw. Either way you'd never turn on Trump. You'll never see him for what he so obviously is to most of the rest of the country. A convicted felon, narcissist who is hungry for power, wealth, and a "legacy."
He won't be president forever. His day of reckoning is approaching. Then perhaps we'll see Nuremberg II. One can hope.

That would be justice. Our president is a criminal. Along with anyone else involved. Democrats? Lock 'em up! Republicans? Lock 'em up!
Why is the Trump DOJ explicitly protecting people who are clearly not victims? Why redact those name, but not names of victims? Why are they only putting out 2% of what's there after a law was passed stating they had to release everything? Not releasing anything is one thing. But actively releasing things that have been tampered with and "unreleasing" things that have been when it's found to be disfavorable to the president?

There's is absolutely nothing at all in the Epstein files which legitimately accuses Trump of anything criminal at all.

A former Florida police chief said he received a call from Donald Trump in 2006 in which the now-president told him "everyone" knows about Jeffrey Epstein’s behaviour, according to an FBI document released by the justice department.
The document is a written record of a 2019 FBI interview with the former Palm Beach police chief, who alleges Trump called him after the department launched an investigation into Epstein and said: "Thank goodness you're stopping him, everyone has known he's been doing this."
Trump's call shows that he knew all along that Epstein was a pedophile and didn't report him. He was protecting a pedophile then, and his administration continues to protect pedophiles today.

It's ironic how you mention something from 2006 involving Epstein and accuse Trump of protecting him all that time (19 years), as if Trump was the only person Epstein had contact with or knew what he was doing. It's not like Epstein was a recluse who never ventured out. As we've seen from the millions of files released, he rubbed elbows with multitudes of people.

Why didn't Trump report Epstein to the authorities before 2006 if he knew he was abusing and trafficking children prior to him being investigated? Why isn't his administration not investigating or charging any of the perpetrators involved in Epstein's trafficking ring today?

Too busy having to review each of 3+ million documents for release to the public, as demanded by the democrats who keep insisting that they haven't been released, no matter how many are released. Each one needs to be checked to make sure victim information is not being leaked out.
