Speaking before representatives from nearly 50 countries, President Donald Trump announced Thursday at the inaugural Board of Peace meeting that nine members have agreed to pledge a combined $7 billion toward a Gaza relief package.​

The countries making the pledges are Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, UAE, Morocco, Bahrain, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Uzbekistan and Kuwait, Trump said.​
​
The amount, while significant, represents a fraction of the estimated $70 billion needed to rebuild war-battered Palestinian territory, where a shaky ceasefire deal looms over Trump’s ambitions for his board to rival the United Nations in solving world conflicts.​


A coalition of 50 countries coming together to broker peace.
In the interest of creating an international stabilization force, Indonesia, Morocco, Kazakhstan, Kosovo and Albania pledged to send thousands of troops to Gaza, according to Maj. Gen. Jasper Jeffers, the commander of the international security force. Egypt and Jordan have committed to train police.

Trump says US committing $10 billion to Board of Peace

President Trump said Thursday the U.S. is committing $10 billion to the Board of Peace, the forum that was created to reconstruct the Gaza Strip but that the president wants to see broadened to tackle other foreign conflicts.

The White House did not immediately respond to a request for comment on where the funds were being drawn from.

The Board of Peace — chaired by Trump, who appears to have the ultimate decisionmaking power — directs where the money is dispersed.

If Trump can get this to work without infighting and turning Gaza into a proxy war theatre for various mutually antagonistic nations I would be happy to give him a high five.

As I understand it, he, in the end, will have the final decision on where money goes.

That's what I've heard. Is that correct?

Because if it is I wanna make a bet.

I bet that Trumps family/business interests will receive a significant portion of Funds to rebuild Gaza; additionally, I would expect to see a Trump Property build in Gaza.

And I will bet a pizza from your local favourite restaurant...and you do the same for me. We can etransfer to pay.
