CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Important: If your power or heat is out, be mindful of carbon monoxide. Most know the dangers of running portable heat indoors and to never, ever, use charcoal indoors, but it can be a problem even outside. For instance, using a grill under a carport or in a garage. Even with a garage door open, carbon monoxide can rise with the hot air right through the ceiling, where it then can cool and descend into the living area. Always exercise caution.

True, but in a stiff wind when you don't have proper wear, it can be an issue. Once, growing up, we had a hard cold with a strong wind, and we wrapped towels around our heads to over exposed skin when we went to tend to livestock. It was still cold. Wind felt like it was cutting through.
Will defer to those who live in northern latitudes on how to dress in cold weather.

I would have preferred to be wrong.
I would have preferred that the President of the United States displayed a rational, fact based,science driven sound and logical behaviour. I would have preferred that Donald Trump used valid and logical arguments.
Sadly enough, he didn't and doesn't. He used fallacies, lies and he distorts the truth.
