  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

    The survivor of a 2013 church bombing has been hospitalized after medical complications. On Sunday, Sept. 22, 2013, two suicide bombers entered the All Saints Church in Peshawar, Pakistan, and detonated their devices, killing 127 people and injuring more than 250. One survivor was a 3-year-old girl known as Sister M. Her father was killed in the explosions, and she suffered serious burns.     Evangelists Attacked in Market

    These Christian evangelists were attacked while preaching the gospel.
    On Feb. 9, 2026, two Christian evangelists were attacked by Muslim extremists while preaching in an open-air market in central Ethiopia. The men suffered severe head injuries in the attack and were immediately transported to a local hospital. While Ethiopia is a majority-Christian nation, Christians face violence and even death threats in Muslim-majority areas. Read More.

    Early Rain Church Targeted in New Crackdown

    Elder Li Yingqiang, along with his wife and children, was arrested in the Jan. 6 crackdown against Early Rain Church.
    On Jan. 6, 2026, members of the Early Rain Covenant Church in Chengdu, China, were subjected to a large-scale crackdown that involved searches of multiple church sites and homes. According to information released by the church and verified by multiple sources, several church elders, preachers, deacons and their family members were detained. The whereabouts of some individuals has been preliminarily confirmed while others remained unreachable. Among those arrested or detained are elder Li Yingqiang and his wife, Zhang Xinyue; preacher Dai Zhichao; the family of Brother Ye Fenghua; elder Yan Hong; preacher Wu Wuqing; and deacon Zeng Qingtao. Local police officers also appeared at a school operated by the church and ordered the landlord to clear the facility. Read More.
