  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Wait a minute...sweetie, are you mentally disabled in any way? I have noticed that you are not speaking clear English despite your age and I want to know if you are handicapped in some way? Maybe you need help that we aren't giving you?

Or perhaps English is just not your first language?

Are her parents abusing a disabled child? I don't know, that is what I am trying to find out.

Here in America the law protects disabled people from abuse. I think it is called The Americans With Disabilities Act.

She mentioned they locked her in her room for 4 whole days. My my. That does seem like a harsh punishment to me, but then again, she did do something really bad.

I want to know why the locks are on the wrong side of the doors! That's insane!
we live in an old victrian house in england, all the doors have locks on the doors, which can be locked or unlocked with a key, my parents didnt put the lock on my door just to lock me in the locks have been there for around 100 yearsl, we always keep the keys on the inside of the door, when i had a row with my sister i took the key from inside her door and locked her in, of course when i was locked in as my punishment my parents did the same and took the key from inside my bedroom door and locked me in as punishment, the door keys are quite large and are victorian , i found being locked up a hard punishment it was VERY VERY boring , ?

Au contraire! A family home isn't a jail. My mother was strict, but not abusive.
if i am honest my parents arnt being abusive, they just wanted to to understand what my sister went through, and make sure i was properly punished so i behave in future is that fair ?

Imagine how much you hurt your sister. Yet, she forgave you. You have a great sister, as well. You are lucky.

Oh, dear! I think as a parent I would hide the keys and leave my children's doors unlocked; My parents were strict by American standards. I had no idea British child rearing was so harsh, I'm sorry for my ignorance.

i now have a new problem , my parents told me last night that i havent shown enough remorse, and asked me to write a letter of apology to my sister, i got a bit angry and refused and had a argument with my parents, now my parents have said that my disobidence is NOT acceptable and they are going to punish me again this coming weekend, they have said i will be locked back into my room all day saturday and sunday, more schoolwork and more punishment essays , this coming weekend is my cousins 16th birthday party me and my 2 other sisters are invited, i wont be able to go as i will be on punishment, my parents said i was warned well in advance if i didnt show remorse and write a letter of apology , i would be put back into lockdown and punished is this fair ?
