  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Settle? This is a criminal case. Maduro might be found guilty on all or some counts, or innocent on all counts, but settlement isn't an option. The best he could do is cut a deal in a plea bargain, or offer information or influence for a commuted sentence.

I'll take plea bargain for a 100.

Christians should first support the Kingdom of Heaven and their fellow ambassadors of the Kingdom who are posted to the various worldly nations. the Christian theocracy is Heaven, and at this moment Heaven is not a nation of the world.

Frankly, no Christian should be "America first" or any other worldly nation first. That should never come from a Christian's lips. Christ will ultimately destroy all worldly nations.

A Christian should be "Heaven first." Only Heaven will endure.

America first doesn't disagree with any of that. Christ's kingdom is not of thos world. America first only refers to current geopolitics of this world.

Christians can be ambassadors of Christ while at the same time appreciating and supporting their country. It doesnt mean Christ is second or the Kingdom of Heaven takes a back seat. None of that.

All it means is that we believe America is the greatest nation on this planet were worldly nations govern. And when you look at the western hemisphere of tge Americas it can't be denied it offers the greatest hope for the greatest number of people. Its not Venezuala or Mexico or Brazil or Nicaragua.

And in the end Christ will rule the nations with an Iron Rod. Christ is Lord and he is all in all and His Kingdom is one without end. Until that time comes we have what we have.

And for now lets not get so worked up over saying something like America first. It means nothing like you are saying.

It certainly means that when the welfare and gospel work of Christians in other worldly countries is not considered while placing America ahead of those other countries. It doesn't help the Kingdom of Heaven to make Jesus the face of despicable worldly actions.

I dont know what you mean by that. Can you give me an example?
It doesn't help the Kingdom of Heaven to make Jesus the face of despicable worldly actions.
I need an other example of what you mean. Has someone made Jesus the face of arresting a Narco terrorist, communist dictator who has killed thousands in his own country?

So you are just implying that Christians are wrong for saying "America First" because you believe that real Christians should support a Christian theocracy? If not, then what the heck are you talking about?
You are the one who brought up this "theocracy" nonsense.

If a person believes in the teachings of Christ, why would they support one country above all others, especially when that country follows a doctrine of might is right? A country whose leader is a bragging pervert, a cheat, an adulterer, a fraud and more?

Thankfully, I'm not afflicted by a religiosity. But it does mean I don't get the mindset and require an explanation.

So what would "Jesus first" look like for American policy?

If they are in the country illegally, sure.

Well hopefully, if He decides on visiting, He has His long form birth certificate and a current un- expired passport with Him.

Did you take this same position when Biden was in charge?

Venezuela’s acting president says she has had ‘enough’ of US orders

Venezuela’s acting president Delcy Rodríguez said Sunday she has had “enough” of Washington’s orders, as she works to unite the country after the US capture of its former leader Nicolás Maduro.
Rodríguez has been walking a tight-rope since being backed by the US to lead the country in the interim; balancing keeping Maduro loyalists on board at home while trying to ensure the White House is happy.
Now, almost a month into her new role, Rodríguez has pushed back on the US, amid ongoing pressure including a series of demands for Venezuela to resume oil production.
“Enough already of Washington’s orders over politicians in Venezuela,” she told a group of oil workers in Puerto La Cruz city, at an event broadcast by state-run channel Venezolana de Televisión.
“Let Venezuelan politics resolve our differences and our internal conflicts. This Republic has paid a very high price for having to confront the consequences of fascism and extremism in our country.” --CNN

I guess I better get started on her "welcome aboard" package.

Hegseth's Caribbean adventure is apparently over....for now:

WASHINGTON, Feb 13 (Reuters) - The Pentagon is sending an aircraft carrier from the Caribbean to the Middle East, two U.S. officials told Reuters on Friday, a move that would put two carriers in the region as tensions soar between the United States and Iran.

“The pace of repression outstrips our ability to understand it....It is easier to hide behind forty atrocities than a single incident.” -- Karis Nemik

What Karis Nemik means is that oppressive systems cannot pause. If repression slows, people notice it, analyze it, and begin to resist. Therefore, the regime must increase the tempo of control, punishment, and intrusion. As the pace accelerates, oppression becomes normalized through sheer volume -- atrocities blur together and lose individual salience.

But if oppression survives by speed, that same speed guarantees its eventual failure. Speed leads to overreach, overreach produces mistakes, mistakes create visible injustice, which fuels resistance.
