  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Target has been a focus of protest since they pulled some of the LGBTQ+ Pride items displayed prominently in their stores a few years ago. Parents complained their children should not have to see that stuff and once Target scaled back it did not go well with that community. The anti-ICE people are very much the same crowd.

This analysis has all the political sophistication of a saturday morning cartoon. Target made a business decision that certain products were not serving the interests of their customers, but their actual store policies haven't changed.

Oh their polices changed. Target faced a boycott from parents and concerned citizens over their DEI policies, based on what children saw in the aisles and also what was being marketed to children. Target scaled back their DEI policies. Then they were threatened with a boycott from the DEI crowd. They are very much caught in the middle. More recently they have changed their customer policies towards all, working more to give a friendlier image and engage people.

Their policies towards LGBT persons haven't changed. They are still an equal-opportunity employer and still committed to non-discrimination in service.
