  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I haven't heard any retraction from you regarding the resurrection/rapture to heaven yet. Nor of the rapture being the means of escape from having to go through the great tribulation.

Christians holding the pre-trib (pre-70th week) rapture timing view and the anytime rapture view (pre-ToD act) view I hold, both hold the position that persons not taken in the rapture will go through the great tribulation.

Anyone outspoken against the rapture is not going to be taken in the rapture because of their attempt to influence others not to believe as well. You can change your mind and retract from your position, and thus be taken in the rapture. Or you can continue on your same path, as others who are outspoken on the matter. Your choice of what you believe is in your hands, not mine.
This is a shocking spiel of error and delusion.
I agree; The choice of what we believe in in our hands. And there will be consequences for those who taught false beliefs.

OK, I know your beliefs are 'set in concrete', and you are as offended by my refutation of the rapture as I am by your posts.
The One we all must apologise to for our mistakes, is God.
However, your consigning of me into the Great Tribulation because I reject the rapture, is a rude and un Christian accusation, Bad you.

The fire judgement on the Middle East, striking ‘in an instant’, will be a Coronal Mass Ejection: a sunstrike of unprecedented magnitude and is the next prophesied event we can expect, it is the Day that will ‘come as a thief’, sudden and unexpectedly.
No, no solar event, depopulation, and follow up new replacement nation of Christians.

Ezekiel 38, Gog/Magog event of the latter days, latter years, will be against the current nation of Israel. No solar event replacement in this verse. See sword in this verse ? Same as the sword in Ezekiel 39:23.

Ezekiel 38:8 After many days thou shalt be visited: in the latter years thou shalt come into the land that is brought back from the sword, and is gathered out of many people, against the mountains of Israel, which have been always waste: but it is brought forth out of the nations, and they shall dwell safely all of them.

Israel became a nation again in the land of Israel in 1948.

In Ezekiel 39:23, Jesus speaking in the text having returned to this earth, speaks about Israel going into captivity because they trespassed against Him, i.e. His being crucified, so they all fell by the sword during their subsequent time of captivity in nations.

Ezekiel 39:23 And the heathen shall know that the house of Israel went into captivity for their iniquity: because they trespassed against me, therefore hid I my face from them, and gave them into the hand of their enemies: so fell they all by the sword.

keras, it is not talking about Christians going into captivity, but the Jews of the nation of Israel.

Genesis 524 And Enoch walked with God: and he was not; for God took him.

Hebrews 11:5 By faith Enoch was translated that he should not see death; and was not found, because God had translated him: for before his translation he had this testimony, that he pleased God.

If you actually read and understood the Prophesies in #80, you would know the Jews have no part to play in the end times.
But of course to do that means your beliefs are just fried cabbage.

We have been over this issue before.
You are a King James Version adherent. I mainly use the Revised English Bible, 1989 edition.

The KJV; dedicated to King James, is a translation done to the scholarship standards of the 1600's. Today, we have much more knowledge of the ancient languages, from many more manuscripts.
The REB is a complete re-translation that accurately renders the intended meanings.

In any differences, it is quite certain that the REB tells us the correct meaning. Those who grip onto the old KJV are handicapping themselves.

Isaiah 29:1-4, is undeniably a Prophecy about the virtual demise of Jewish Israel. Nowhere does the Bible say there will be a Jewish Redemption. Isaiah 22:14, Romans 9:27

keras, the 1989 REB translation is different from all other translations, throughout Isaiah 29.

The 1989 REB translation inserts the phrase...Isaiah 29:2... I make her My fire altar. (as highlighted by you)

and in Isaiah 29:3.... My fiery judgement. (as highlighted by you)

You are taking those references to fire to use as a basis for your end times scenario of a solar event to depopulate Israel.

I disregard your post #80 because it is based on a faulty translation different from all other translations.

Also Ezekiel 38 and 39 disproves that the Gog/Magog attack will be made on a Christian replacement nation of the current nation of Israel.

Also the parable of the fig tree generation limits the Gog/Magog event to happen no later than the end of 2030. There is not enough time for your scenario to take place... of a solar event, depopulating the middle east, followed by a subsequent migration of Christians to create a replacement nation, and rebuild the country.

btw, who is going to rebuild those middle east muslim countries that are going to depopulated in your scenario ?

Rejecting modern translations, shows a fixation and an inability to correctly understand Gods plans for our future.
It is going to be difficult for all those who make it hard for themselves, by refusing to even look at proper Bible information.

keras, in your solar event scenario, when the solar event takes place depopulating the current nation of Israel, which will include the deaths of Christians currently living in Israel - why in the aftermath, would not the muslims back fill Israel with mulims to make a muslim nation instead ? They already have their dome of the rock and the al aqsa mosque on the temple mount.

Why would not the mullahs of Iran seize the opportunity since they have been trying to wipe out all the Jews in Israel for their muslim followers. The population of Iran is 92 million. The population of New Zealand where you live for comparison is 5 million.

This forthcoming massive explosion on the suns surface, will depopulate the entire Holy Land. Genesis 15:18 gives the area. Zephaniah 2:4-5
It will do away with the righteous and the wicked alike - Ezekiel 21:3
Islam will lose all their holy places; Mecca - and it will demolish all buildings on the Temple Mount. Amos 2:5

You should know very well that the worship of most peoples in the end times is not Islam, but of one living man; the Anti-Christ 'beast'. Rev 13
Most Muslims will be buried in the Abyss, - ....Those who once spread terror in the land of the living, now bear disgrace ....and are assigned a place in the midst of the slain. Ezekiel 32:24-25

The true, faithful Christians, who trust in the Lord for His protection and call upon His Name, will survive; Isaiah 29:1-4, Psalms 91, +

Iran is not the Holy Land. Also Iran will be part of the Gog/Magog group of Ezekiel 38-39. So Iran will not be depopulated.

Ezekiel 38:5 Persia [Iran], Ethiopia, and Libya with them; all of them with shield and helmet:

Since Iran will not be depopulated, back to the question - why in the aftermath of a solar event, would not the muslims back fill Israel with mulims to make a muslim nation?

The Holy Land stops at the Euphrates river, in Iraq, Or on the Iran Iraq border.
Jeremiah 49:36 says many Iranians will go into exile, so they may join Gog from Magog.

Because the Lord will not allow non Christians to enter. Ezekiel 20:37-38

There were 2000 years of the time of the Gentiles occupying Israel. So you are taking Ezekiel 20:37-38 out of context.

The Holy Land stops at the Euphrates river, in Iraq, Or on the Iran Iraq border.
Jeremiah 49:36 says many Iranians will go into exile, so they may join Gog from Magog.
Jeremiah 49, Elam refers to the ancient kingdom of what is now southwestern Iran. The scattering of Elam was back in the day of Zedekiah, King of Judah, Jeremiah 49:34. Not in the latter days. Actually, for the latter days, there will be migration back to the land of ancient Elam days. Jeremiah 49:39.

So Iran is not going to be depopulated.

The context is the end times. - By My wrath, I shall gather My people from wherever they are; to the Holy Land. Ezekiel 20:33-38
Not happened yet. The Lords wrath is the forthcoming Sixth Seal disaster
So Iran is not going to be depopulated.
As Habakkuk 3:14 says: You pierce their chiefs with your arrows, their leaders are swept away by a whirlwind....
When the crazy Mullahs attempt to attack - Psalms 11:4-6, they will be destroyed, but Iran is a huge country and many will survive.

At a quick rough count, there are 12 obvious errors in the chart above.
For someone who believes they will be rrrraptured outta here before any disaster strikes, I suppose it doesn't matter what happens on earth, while you do horse riding and sword practice in heaven.
If people really believed what Jesus taught, they would fulfil Matthew 28:19-20

If people really believed what Jesus taught, they would fulfil Matthew 28:19-20
Belief has actions with it (James 2:24). Those who truly believe in God, heaven, Judgement, hell, and that Jesus died in our place for our sins, will act accordingly. They would warn others of the condemnation that they are under and then tell them of the great love that God had for us. That he sacrificed His son in our place for our sins. So, those who believe will tell others and therefore fulfilling the great commission.
Those people who profess to believe but stay silent are like a person who sees a house on fire with people in it, and then they choose to not say anything because they are afraid that people will mock them for warning the ones in the house. These believers are cowardly.
Revelation 21:8 says what happens to the cowardly. "But the cowardly, unbelieving, abominable, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death.”
Just as soldiers in the world wars were given commands to go over the parapet, we too need to obey the commands of God. And just as there were consequences for those who disobeyed a commend to go over the parapet, there are consequences for those who choose to disobey God.
We need to love our neighbours by warning them. Even if people scoff at us. To not warn them is unloving and cowardly.

Sadly, those who believe in an escape from bad things to happen, do not believe that the Lord will protect them. They read Psalms 23, 46 and 91, +, failing to make the connection between our world situation now and their role in the end times.

There is coming a Day when the Lord will arise and change the world; Zephaniah 3:8, 2 Peter 3:7, Revelation 6:12-17.
It will be our great test of faith, be ready to Call to Him for protection through it all. Isaiah 43:2, Revelation 3:10-11
2 Peter 3:12 says we should look forward to it and hasten it on!
