  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

is there a TV show from back from 80s and 90s you miss?

I grew up loving MacGvyer as well as Alf.

one of the 90s shows I loved and miss was Felicity.

And there was a little known series called the Sisters which I thought was brilliant.

Can't say I miss them as I still watch them regularly. I DO miss the style in which they were made. Off the top of my head...

Cheers/Frasier (New one is meh at best... should have left it alone.)

ALF
Miami Vice
Night Court
Perfect Strangers
Knight Rider
News Radio

Some that started in the 70s but ran into the 80s.

Dukes of Hazard
Threes Company.

I've recently been watching Murder She Wrote because I missed it.

They are doing a reboot of Murder She Wrote staring Jamie Lee Cutis as Jessica Fletcher.

I miss Out of This World.

A lot of shows I used to watch are available on streaming so that's been nice.

I want to know why there are no streaming services that offer Little House on the Prairie or The Waltons.

They are both on Peacock, frndly, and
Apple TV.

Melissa Gilbert has an online business called The Modern Prairie. She sells things for the kitchen and clothing. She posts videos on Facebook.

Seinfeld is definitely near the top of the list.

Some others:
Saved by the Bell
The Fresh Prince
The old "TGIF" lineup (Family Matters, Boy Meets World, Step By Step)
Hanging with Mr. Cooper
The Cosby Show (can't bring myself to watch it anymore)
Home Improvement
Night Court
Empty Nest
The Golden Girls (my brother's show :D)
Knight Rider
The Incredible Hulk

I also watched some of the cheesy USA network drama series in the mid 90's (Hercules, Xena, Hylander, Renegade).:sorry:

Does anyone know what PBS Kids was? I watched two shows off of it when I was a kid: Arthur and Wishbone. I also saw Sabrina the Teenage Witch, but I probably shouldn't have watched that one since I was raised in a Christian home. :( Looking back on it I regret doing that. Another one I saw was called Recess. My sisters and I loved that one. It kept us laughing for hours because of Mrs. Finster and her minion Randall. Some comedy there.

When I was VERY young, like age 3, I saw Barney the Purple Dinosaur and Pooh Bear. Later I watched Rainbow Brite and Alvin and the Chipmunks. And then there was Thomas the Tank Engine. Anyone remember them?
Ah, old shows we used to watch when we were kids! How nostalgic indeed. :satisfied:

My sister had her son a few years ago and she introduced him to Thomas the Tank Engine as well. He should like it since he is only 3. It makes me smile knowing that there is a new generation watching it...

But his favorite show so far is something called CocoMelon. It wasn't around when I was a kid.
