  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Nicki Minaj, who Billboard recently ranked as the best female rapper of all time and is considered the most successful female rapper in the world, has declared that any Christian who votes for the Democratic Party again "is a fool."

"Any Christian who votes democrat again is a fool. They're showing people that it's ok to disrupt a church during worship. This is how they truly feel about you. The veil is lifted. No morals. No integrity," Minaj wrote in a post on XSunday as the 68th annual Grammy Awards show was underway.

“It's not enough for them to have an opinion, they've escalated to physical intrusion of places of worship. The demons inside of them are so bothered. All the time."

Minaj's comments appear to be at least partly in response to protesters disrupting a Sunday service at Cities Church in St. Paul, Minnesota, on Jan. 19. Former CNN host Don Lemon was charged, along with other activists, for participating in the disruption. Activists protested one of the church's pastors, who leads a local U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcment office in St. Paul.

I think that the Bang Bang video rapper shouldn't be telling any Christian how they should act or vote.
Maybe she had a spiritual experience?

Otherwise, I agree :)

From AI-

Nicki Minaj aligned with the Republican party and MAGA movement in late 2025, appearing at Turning Point USA's Americafest to support Donald Trump
. She shifted from prior criticism, stating that "bullying" pushed her into politics, and was later photographed with Trump at a Treasury Department event in early 2026.
  • Early Indications (2015): Minaj previously noted in a 2015 Billboard interview that she agreed with some of Trump's points.
  • Alignment Shift (Late 2025): She began openly supporting the MAGA movement, appearing at a Turning Point USA event in December 2025.
  • Active Support (2026): By early 2026, reports indicated her active involvement as a MAGA supporter, having previously criticized Trump and his immigration policies in 2020.
She has not explicitly identified herself as a registered Republican, but has positioned herself as a supporter of the Trump-aligned movement.

Niki needs to go read her Bible. Disrupting worship... that's exactly what Jesus did. I'm not saying that I necessarily approve of what happened at City Church, but the idea that it's categorically wrong seems to not be well-formed by a Christian conscience or imagination.

And there are many people that are Christians and Democrats. We don't need Minaj's approval, and she's hardly the authority on what's moral, anyways.

I think this kind of idolizing of political indentity in itself is a problem. Minaj is basically trying to shame people that are Christians that disagree with her politically, and ingratiate herself to a new, more political tribe, one that favors the strongman politics she seems to gravitate towards. That won't result in any good fruit. Power and truth aren't the same thing.

I understand why she has decided to support Donald Trump. She has made a deal with the devil. In any other circumstance, a Green Card holder who was arrested for possessing a gun with an intent to kill would have been immediately deported. This was her situation so instead she decided to make a deal and use her platform to promote the very administration that would have deported her. Such hypocrites shouldn't represent our Lord, Jesus Christ of Nazareth.

Why not?

Jesus disrupted the temple in a prophetic act. The idea that religious places of worship are supposed to be ruled by consensus that excludes the inconvenient seems to me an idea that isn't well supported in the Bible.

WHY not? Your sentiment isn't wrong; Jesus was indeed protesting. But WHY? He was protesting the profiting occurring in front of God's House. The bigger issue is WHY, so as to reveal the person that seeks to understand WHY. God is sifting, and all things will be uncovered including the spirit that would point to how worship was being interrupted by protesters without bothering to understand WHY. We need to guard our tongues and discern the times. I would add that in the end the lamb went to the slaughter without revile and forgave those who crucified him.

It just shows how little she knows about Christianity.
