CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Given that the sprayer seems to be a Trump supporter one can think of other reasons for the incident.

No. Everything we've seen of her since then does appear to be animated. So it's possible she didn't make it.

We've all seen what the reaction is when something happens in Australia. Such as an ISIS member who did another mass shooting there. Australian Government responded by giving ISIS what they wanted. They further restricted firearms ownership among their own citizens. That will probably encourage another ISIS member to do something like that once again knowing that they will get exactly what they want.

Go start a thread on it as it has absolutely nothing to do with this one. You brought up this guy implying he was some innocent schmuck being put upon by rabid left wingers. When what you were actually doing was trying to draw a non existent comparison between some convicted cop-beating thug out looking for trouble and finding it and an elected official being attacked doing her job.
