CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Honestly, I don’t think the bruising is indicative of much. Anytime I get an IV (which is at least 2-3 times a month), my hands bruise. My dad’s hands bruise pretty easily. It’s likely just an iron absorption issue or an age-related bruising. His pallor and skin type shows he’s the type who’s unlucky enough to have that complication.

Given that he's a bit of a narcissist and ego maniac, probably hiding bruising because he doesn't want people to talk about it.
80 year olds at his weight, and with his propensity for eating fast food...it's very likely he's on some blood thinners and blood pressure meds, which makes bruising easier.

If people are taught to take better care of themselves. Then Americans would be healthier. But Trump is setting that example. Just the opposite. That's why we should focus on healthy eating and exercising in school.

Yeah, of all the things that can be blamed on Trump, I don't think unhealthy eating is one of those things.
That's a problem that long predates him being involved in politics in any way shape or form.
There are some very unhealthy pockets of food culture here in the US, and it doesn't seem to be connected in anyway to whether or not a politician is leading by example in that realm.
George W Bush and Obama are widely regarded as being two of the fittest presidents of modern times.
Bush was a marathon runner, Obama was an avid basketball player, and both were noted as having been in the gym 4-5 days a week (and Obama's wife spearheaded a healthy school lunch initiative).
It had no measurable effect on the obesity or chronic disease issues that have been on a solid upward trend since the early 80's.
Heck, the obesity rate increased in California when they literally had a former Mr Olympia as their governor who constantly was trying to spearhead fitness initiatives in his state.

You can tell he's lost a little weight over the past few years (I think I saw news reports saying somewhere in the ballpark of 30 pounds or so)
And while that's better than not losing any, after decades of poor diet and obesity, going from 270 down to 240 isn't going to produce any miraculous outcomes in terms of health outcomes.
Sort of like if a person smoked 2 packs a day for 40 years, and then at age 60 cuts down to a half pack. Cutting down is better than not cutting down obviously, but it's certainly not going to quickly undo any of the risk factors that have been cultivated over the previous decades.
