  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

I just want to interrupt the Anti- Trump posts

And remind everyone that we are supposed to be praying for our leaders. I am pretty sure that I read that somewhere.
Yes. Pray in Spirit and in truth.
Thanks for sharing.
Be blessed.

When the leaders are beyond rehabilitation, we can only pray for deliverance in the next election.

Trump got his second chance and the entire world has lost faith in our country. Domestically, a vast majority of Americans have seen the light. Even former true believers have voters' remorse.

What if Jesus said that about us? We are too bad, too lost, and beyond rehabilitation. He would have never gone to the cross for us. Jesus knew he was giving his life for a world lost in sin and he did it anyway.

The Bible is clear that we need to pray for our leaders. The Bible is also clear that we should be separate from the world. Not part of it.

and the entire world has lost faith in our country.
That was 60 years ago. Throughout history, greed and boisterousness has taken down every power. They come, they go.. all for the same reason.

We are in a democracy--fragile and under attack as it is.
I will prioritize my prayer for a new leader--and for damage control in the interim.
I’m not a supporter of anything that is going on in the country. Angry about a lot but I have learned what things are worth my energy and what things are not. I want to put this nicely. We all need to take a step back and rethink what we are doing. We can’t allow our displeasure with another person blind us to the power of prayer and the Word of God. As Christian’s we don’t get to choose who we will pray for and who we won’t pray for. It doesn’t work that way.

Don’t forget about your Christianity. Jesus taught about prayer and prayed himself. I believe that scripture teaches us that if we repent and turn from our evil ways, that God will hear us from Heaven and heal our land. Not necessarily personally repent and turn from our evil ways but as a nation do it.

Personally I think that would either take a present day miracle or a time when the most self-centered generations since the nation's inception has died off, they for the first time in history have a voice on the internet they never had before. This worshipping of self-interest and self-determination got us kicked out of the Garden and has ebbed and flowed throughout history. This world is at a height of acting anti-Christ in nature because they were able to come together.

The reason why the most Christian nations are one of the most corrupt in the world, have highest poverty rates, one of the highest crime rates and human rights abuses, right up there with Afghanistan,

Is because the ONLY thing Christians do is pray and NOTHING else. Faith without action is dead.

Statistics paints a very dim view of religion. Christianity is not excluded. It would've been very nice if Satan is strongly behind statistics but sadly, that's not the case. Statistics is actually showing the truth this time.

I agree that we are to pray for our governments, for the reason given in the Bible:

1 Timothy 2:1 First of all, then, I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for all people, for kings and all who are in high positions, that we may lead a peaceful and quiet life, godly and dignified in every way.

That we might live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness. That's the reason.

I'm thinking it's the opposite, Nations with a legacy Christian influence, like Sweden or Singapore, are the richest in the world, with the lowest crime rates and virtually no human rights abuses. On the other hand are perhaps countries like Somalia or Sudan. If you doubt me, emigrate to Mogadishu or Khartoum.

God Bless :)

So you are saying we should pray for peace, justice, compassion, fairness, etc. under the guise of praying for "our leaders," with the clear understanding that to accomplish those goals our entire national government--Executive, Legislative, and Supreme Court--needs an extreme makeover, or, more likely, a progressive takeover.

Sweden is one of the least religious countries in the world. Singapore is heading that way too and right now, they're mostly Buddhists.

Alongside Ethiopia which is one of the most Christian countries in the world.

The pattern is strong. The more religious a country is, the more corrupt it becomes and it doesn't excuse Christianity.

Personally, it saddens me. I wish I had known these things a lot sooner.

No, if you read my whole comment, what I was saying is that the only thing that will change things in this country is prayer. Not a progressive takeover or anything like that. Look at what is going on with ICE and the demonstrations.

If we really want to accomplish anything, we have to come together and pray for this country and yes, its leaders.
Only God can change things . We can stand in the streets and shout and scream until we turn blue but it won’t change anything. The problems will still be there the next day.

It’s natural to be angry about things but it’s important to realize that we can react poorly out of anger. I am not espousing any kind of uprising or anything. I am espousing to do what scripture tells us to do when we see upheaval like we are seeing. Pray.

Neither party's President's are better than any other.
When a democrat is in office, the republicans complain.
When a republican is in office, the democrats complain.
People forget history or were too young to know, but all President's have their bad things they do while in office..
But yes, we should pray for all leaders, even if we disagree with them.
We'd want others to pray for us, even if they disagree with us, wouldn't we.

I pray every day, "Lord, please do something before this administration destroys us. In Jesus' name, Amen." We should pray this together. :groupray:

The other half of us prayed that when Biden was in office and when Harris was running, but thank God He saw fit for her to lose or we'd be worse off. Not saying Trump is much better, but I'd rather have bad (trump) than worse (harris) as President.

That laugh. Ugh. I hear you. Yes, we are so much better off having people being gunned down in the street. Who could take it otherwise?

Better than a party that pushes murdering growing babies in the womb being in charge
Better than a party that dishonors God's choice for who He makes us...born male will die male, born female will die female
Better than a party who disobeys the immigration law of the land and allows Millions in illegally and then clutch their pearls when it's being dealt with

Those being gunned down, yes it's sad they have put themselves in that situation, but as this guy says, that's on them... Until The Tables Turn Podcast on Instagram: "Minnesota protest is getting out of hand, (MAKE IT MAKE SENSE) #conservative #protest #viralvideo #politics #ice"

It is true that faith without works is dead however Jesus is our ultimate example to follow when it comes to what kind of action we should take. Look at how Jesus reacted to the situation with the lady who was caught in adultery. The situation when he was being arrested and Peter cut off the guard’s ear. Look at how he responded to the thief on the cross who asked for forgiveness. Jesus responded with mercy and forgiveness.

This is how we should respond to things. Otherwise we risk acting foolishly and going against the word of God. When God gave people instructions on what to do, he gave them specific details on how to accomplish His purpose.
When people in the Bible strayed from God’s instructions just a little, there were consequences.
