The sun always travels east to west. If you fly half way around the world one way it will be all darkness, the other way it will be all light. The sun always appears to move east to west. Fly halfway around the world with Earth’s rotation and you stay in darkness; fly against it and you stay in daylight.

It does not describe an eclipse. God caused the day to lengthen so the Israelites could defeat their enemy. Whether He did this by stopping the rotation of the earth or simply by suspending time is not known, but from the point of view of the people involved in this battle, the sun and moon paused in their transits across the sky.
This is all very easy, God does not break His own rules. Period the end. Just like when we are born again and a new creation in Christ we can live free from sin. This follows the teachings of John Wesley. But it would appear that people follow Post Calvanism and they believe we are miserable, depraved and deprived. Not in my Bible.
Do you work hard at making things complicated? People in the ancient world knew exactly what they were doing. They could predict eclipses, track lunar cycles, and read the sky with precision. They were not nearly as primitive as you seem to think. Using an eclipse to confuse an enemy would have been a brilliant tactical move, especially if you already knew it was coming.
The object of the request to God by Joshua was to have more daylight so Israel could defeat the Amorites. Having an eclipse would darken the day which would not help Israel or Joshua’s request. So it could not have been an eclipse.

Stopping the rotation of the earth or stopping time itself are supernatural events. What on earth did you think we were claiming it to be?
I do not know what you mean? IF you want to write scripture, you have to be as exact and precise as God. There is no room for mistakes or errors.
