  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Is that the type of federal control that was in mind when things like freedom of the press was established?

"The right to creatively edit and snip things in such a way that it make our team look good and their guy look bad" wasn't the spirit of the law, I don't think.

And just to be blunt, I think democrats already gave away their leverage on this one during covid, when they were proposing a "Ministry of Truth" of sorts and put it in the hands of the same entity that they're now claiming are "a bunch of of authoritarian thugs"

That's exactly the same as Donald putting millions in his personal pocket while using the position of his office to intimidate!

Do you really think the FBI had a legitimate reason to search Mar-A-Lago?
Yes. Do you not? Read the warrant?

But continue not to answer the questions I've asked as that is thoroughly convincing.

Because, at the time, he was an agent of the government and doing so would've likely been a gross violation of the constitution.
Wait a minute, I thought about what you said, but didn't Trump have some recent lawsuits?

Yep. And a lot of places caved, because doing so was easier and cheaper than fighting him. If they'd had the resources and perserverence, they likely would've won.

Wait a minute, I thought about what you said, but didn't Trump have some recent lawsuits?
Yes, sort of. He first has to file an administrative claim for damages, then, if nothing is done, he can sue. He filed and nothing was done, but he has not filed an actual lawsuit against the federal government for damages.

One of the administrative claims, filed in August 2024 and reviewed by The Associated Press, seeks $115 million in compensatory and punitive damages over the search of his Mar-a-Lago estate and the resulting case alleging he hoarded classified documents and thwarted government efforts to retrieve them.

It accuses former Attorney General Merrick Garland, former FBI Director Christopher Wray and Justice Department special counsel Jack Smith of harassing and targeting Trump with a "malicious prosecution" in an effort to hurt Trump's bid to reclaim the White House.

The Times said the other claim seeks damages related to the long-concluded Trump-Russia investigation, which continues to infuriate the president.

There's more than a bit of conflict of interest but that is the hallmark of this administration.

I have now, including the 27 pages of redacted emails. Which email(s) did you find compelling against the search warrant?

Did you read the warrant yet?
A warrant issued with doubts on probable cause and it's brought up a sufficient justification to do to Trump what this thread accuses him of doing to CBS.

So it goes.

We saw the Biden administration collude with social media, using taxpayer dollars to try and defeat Trump in the election.
Never happened.
Here Trump has previously and successfully sued in federal court for deceptive editing, and he warns that he will sue if they don't let the people see the entire interview.
There is no obligation not to edit.
I don't see anything wrong in letting the American people see an unedited interview. Remember too the way the media tried to help Kamala with deceptive editing?
Never happened.

So that's a "no" to reading the warrant? Again, which email(s) did you find compelling against the search warrant? I didn't see any that actually cast doubt on the probable cause, but maybe I missed something. Did you read the emails or are you going by the article's assertions?
