CBS is rather mainstream, so you know they're telling the truth.

In general, we're talking about why military troops may be needed in Minneapolis. We're talking about what is going on there, who is doing it, and the fact that there is a high degree of similarity to what has happened in the past and was allowed to continue.

If you want to know what would occur if the military doesn't step in, just look at what happened before. If the good people of Minneapolis want to see their city going up in flames again and people killed, then they should just let our federal law enforcement officers do their job.
