  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I think it was December 25th. I received this message in a dream "you're going to get married today". And then couple of days later, I received a text message from a stranger, a woman. It was a simple greeting and she had a profile picture and she looks a bit like an early twenties Carrie Anne Moss (Trinity in the Matrix films).

I don't know what to make of it. If this is really an "answer". Yet, I never prayed for it. Worse yet, I really can't date anyone at this moment. I'm broke mostly, mentally unstable, and still getting suicidal thoughts sometimes. I may want it so badly but circumstances are impossible.

Besides, there's couple days discrepancy.... The dream said now but it wasn't until couple days later before I got anything. Although since I never receive such texts from women, the chance of such coincidence is astronomically slim or next to impossible.

Eerily like in the film Matrix too. Neo had a nightmare, the next day, she meets Trinity. Ignore it or "follow the white rabbit and see how far rabbit hole goes?"

It’s probably a bot.

A lot of the world is deception, whether it be dreams or a hello from someone online. Your task is to stay in reality: it really often is Alice in Wonderland

I was thinking the same thing. People know that Christmas Day is going to be a lonely day for many people and that it would be easy to trick someone into falling for a scam at such a time. I would simply ignore it.

Dreams are often symbolic and not literal, whether they have a spiritual origin or originate from our own brains. They can also be wishful thinking, subconscious desires, fantasies.

As far as communicating or meeting with this woman, I think it's fine to pursue that if you are interested and can establish trust with one another.

You don't have to have a lot of money to have a relationship with someone. People in poverty aren't doomed to a life of being alone. It might not even lead to marriage. She might just become a really good friend, which is incredibly valuable. We can never have too many friends.

Demons and other fallen ones are sneakier than most anyone on Earth gives them credit for. Beware and be weary of them. This includes any technology posing as people as well.

Don't jump into anything feet first. The situation is also littered with red flags that you yourself have pointed out. Don't ignore them. I hear from a lot of people about dreams, and the enemy can and does cause dreams also. I have had some happen that were obvious attempts to frighten me. Just because it is a dream, does not mean it is from God.

Keep your feet planted on solid ground. If you get into a bad spiritual situation call on Jesus Christ and don't stop until it goes away, and if it is demonic and you call Lord Jesus, it will go away.

It looks a bit real to me though. She looks familiar either from our neighborhood or one of the joggers in the park who gives me a big smile.

And it just so happens that the messaging app on my phone has dating feature and she probably used it to contact me. I've never used it and I never intend to use it.

Probably not a bot because I replied late after several days she didn't reply back!^_^

I received the message on my phone after the holidays, after New Year.

Ironically, I was planning to skate in the park on xmas day. But after the dream, I cancelled my outdoor skate because I'm afraid the dream might come true and I might meet someone in the park!

I don't want to get married now that's why I took the dream seriously as a warning although the dream didn't sound like a warning, It didn't sound positive either - like someone telling me I'm going to get married today but totally doesn't care if I do something about it or not.

I'm not sure exactly what happened on the 25th of Dec but I actually cancelled my scheduled outdoor activities on the 25th because of the dream, fearing I might actually meet someone!^_^

Yes, you don't need a lot of money to get into a relationship closer than being friends but I have way too little of it and have nothing to spare even for cheap dates!

I have female friends from skating but I think more than half are lesbians. I never thought of asking them out on a date. Never crossed my mind. I'd have dated one of them if my circumstances are different. But I'm not really wishing my circumstances would change. All things considered I feel ok.

Thanks I did took the dream with caution and cancelled my outdoor activities the following day and just stayed at home!

It was somewhat an easy choice to make. I felt just resting at home instead of going out.

I replied to her eventually, very late response, but received no reply. Nothing bad nor good happened at all. Except last sunday when I went to the park, there's this lovely lady who greeted me and seemed to want to have a conversation but I simply greeted back and went my way.

I'm must be superbly dysfunctional for not having conversation! And I'm finding it weird that I'm suddenly receiving more attention from women at the park. They all used to snub me. I'm not really smiling more. Still wearing the same teen rockstar fan clothes though I'm not a teen anymore and now in my mid forties. I didn't put on any muscle either. Same as before.

Something unexplained or supernatural or even AI. I'm not letting it bother me but I still have to be very thankful women are not snubbing me anymore. I do have moments of frustration that I'm not able to do anything about it but I make an effort not to let those feelings linger.

It could be the women have become more familiar with you and find you to be trustworthy after consistency over time. It really can be a survival issue for women when they snub men they don't know.

Also if women notice other women feeling comfortable around a particular man, that signals to them that the man is a safe guy.

It could also be that since that dream you are paying attention more or in a different way that is subtle and they are picking up on that.

Could be! I can't remember all their faces though. Sometimes they wear cap or sunglasses or wear different hairstyle. I see more regulars on other days but I get snubbed by most of them!

A stranger took a pic of me at the park the other day and saw it on FB. I hardly had any sleep that day and I literally looked like a young Jew. Where I live many are Christians who are almost obsessed with the Jewish race because of their prominent place in the religion.

It's even weirder that last year I had a dream about a woman telling me to learn Aramaic or the Hebrew language and seemingly with urgency. She did not tell me to do a deep study of the Old Testament in Hebrew and I have no intention of doing that.

It's ironic because I'm not a fan of the Jewish race for what they do to the world. I'm not exactly sure why and my dreams that carry a message have tendency of turning up for real.

If you saw it on FB, was it on a profile of someone you know? That would help you understand more about who it was and why they took your pic and then posted it on FB.

It's one of those many photographers on weekend run events. I always skate with the runners on these events and the photographers often take pictures of me.

Almost everyone who runs weekends are familiar with me now by face.

I haven't seen my pic taken by anyone who isn't one of the known photographers and I'm not looking them anyway.
