  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

A counterprotester briefly faces off with protesters as crowd diminishes

A counterprotester antagonized some of the demonstrators near the Bishop Henry Whipple Federal Building on Thursday morning.

“We executed one of you yesterday,” the counterprotester said.

The protesters’ response: “Don’t feed the trolls.”

More on the victim.

Good spent most of her life in Colorado and briefly moved to Kansas to live with her parents for a time after her husband – a military veteran – died, her father Tim Ganger told The Washington Post.

The father of her 6-year-old died in 2023. “There’s nobody else in his life,” the child’s grandfather told the Star Tribune. Good had hosted a podcast with her late second husband, Tim Macklin, the AP said.

Good’s ex-husband described her as a devoted Christian who participated in youth mission trips to Northern Ireland, the AP reported. He also said she loved to sing and was in a high school chorus before studying vocal performance in college.
It’s too bad she’s likely a Democrat and wasn’t killed by an illegal or the right would be absolutely livid over this tragic death of a good Christian white woman and widowed military spouse.

DHS officials privately express shock at department’s immediate response to Minneapolis shooting

Multiple Department of Homeland Security officials privately expressed shock Wednesday over the department’s immediate response to the fatal shooting of a woman by an ICE agent in Minneapolis, seeing it as a break from precedent that generally points to an investigation before reaching a firm conclusion.

"Sentence first—verdict afterward."

Only a few hours after the shooting, DHS released a statement calling the incident an “act of domestic terrorism,” and stated that the ICE officer relied on his training and “fired defensive shots” at the vehicle, which they argued was trying to “run over” agents.

Generally, ICE policy says deadly use of force is only warranted if the subject poses an imminent threat of serious injury and or death. Flight of a vehicle doesn’t typically constitute deadly force. ICE officers are trained to approach a vehicle by forming what’s known as a “tactical L” to avoid being in front of the vehicle and prevent injury.

Yes, the leftists opposing them, could leave them to do their jobs instead of instigating confrontations with them. If they were allowed to do their jobs in peace we would see fewer issues.
They are doing a terrible job terribly.

They are NOT deporting criminals and murderers and rapists as you promised. Your party is become a party of hyper aggression regardless of whether you choose to accept it.

That citizens are fighting back against it should not be a surprise...you guys have an ammendment addresses concerns about government.

This lady didn't need to get shot in the face. She just didn't. You guys are paying ICE agents 3x what teachers make and their morale is in the pits (because some of them are desperate, principled people, I'm guess. Some of them are murderers and rapists though). Let's not pretend there is anything about making america great with actions like this.

So she has to actually run over someone first? Driving at someone doesn't count. She actually has to run them over before they can shoot?

Thats like saying if some points a gun at you, you have to wait until they shoot you before you can shoot back.
From the official Justice Department policy on the use of deadly force (I've bolded/added caps for emphasis on the relevant section):
Firearms may not be discharged solely to disable moving vehicles. Specifically, firearms may not be discharged at a moving vehicle unless: (1) a person in the vehicle is threatening the officer or another person with deadly force by means other than the vehicle; or (2) the vehicle is operated in a manner that threatens to cause death or serious physical injury to the officer or others, AND no other objectively reasonable means of defense appear to exist, which includes moving out of the path of the vehicle. Firearms may not be discharged from a moving vehicle except in exigent circumstances. In these situations, an officer must have an articulable reason for this use of deadly force.

Noem is correct. Minnesota had lost its right to investigate criminal activity surrounding theae incidents if they are not investigating ALL criminal activity surrounding the immigration activities.

They are going to investigate ICE while doing immigration enforcement, but not investigate citizens for unlawful acts during ICE immigration enforcement. What a double standard and loss or right to investigate anything. Surrounding the enforcement.

If what I am.reading is true, then the officer should be investigated by the DOJ for possible homicide.
The DOJ has already reached a conclusion. There will be no real investigation.

....and so it begins (the cover up). I

Minnesota authorities said Thursday that the FBI was taking over the investigation into an immigration officer’s deadly shooting of a woman in Minneapolis, freezing them out of the inquiry and blocking them from accessing evidence.

Authorities initially said the investigation into what happened was being conducted by the Minneapolis Bureau of Criminal Apprehension (BCA), a state agency, and the FBI. The Minneapolis Police Department described them both as “leading the investigation.”

On Thursday morning, however, the BCA said in a statement that it had been told by the FBI that the U.S. attorney’s office in Minneapolis “had reversed course: the investigation would now be led solely by the FBI, and the BCA would no longer have access to the case materials, scene evidence or investigative interviews necessary to complete a thorough and independent investigation.”

Noem is a political hack. After her immediate comments yesterday, it's unblievable that you would believe anything she says. It's quite clear Trump has ordered the DOJ and FBI to make this go away....

This is why it is crucial for people to show up at these raids and sweeps to record and document everything these thugs are doing to people. The government is lying and trying to cover the incompetence of their agents that got an innocent woman killed.

Just think of the outrage if she was killed by federal law enforcement during an assault on the Capitol.

Why is the family of this terrorist not on a government plane to El Salvador?
This reminds me a bit of the situation with Maduro

1. US military kidnaps Maduro from Venezuela
2. Maduro is illegally in the US
3. ICE kidnaps Maduro and deports him to Venezuale
4. Go to step 1

Bet she's involved in trafficking drugs that kill 100 million Americans each fortnight, driving them from El Salvador each day in the back of her soccer mom car.

Good citizens should just turn a blind eye to possible illegalities committed by Federal Agents?

Since when?

Oh no kidding? If things were different they would not be the same?
Of course. It's the leftists who have ratcheted up all the confrontations. Leave ICE alone, let them do their jobs there would be fewer issues.

ICE has never had to deal with this kind of nonsense and quite frankly aren't trained for it. And that is a big deal honestly. Its not the type of agency for that. That is why either local LE should be doing it or have a federal agency who is trained to deal with hostile crowds.
