SRI LANKA
Pray for Pastor “Akashan” who leads a local church and has trained and nurtured many church workers. 7 times the church building has been set on fire and 7 times Pastor Akashan has worked on his own to restore it. Despite the harassment and danger he continues his ministry.
Pastor Jonathan and his wife Meesa, attended a training session run by our partners and said, ‘This training programme has helped me in tremendous way. I share what I learnt with my friends and church members.
Praise the Lord for our partners who are providing training and support to many persecuted pastors all over Sri Lanka.
SUDAN
As we prepare to celebrate the start of a new year let us pray for a new season of God’s anointing on our persecuted family in Sudan and around the world.
Pray that the 5 per cent of the Sudanese population that is Christian will stay strong in the face of multiple challenges. Pray that those who have been displaced to the Nuba Mountains region of South Kordofan state would receive the essential aid they need.
Pray that training will provide refreshment and encouragement to pastors and evangelists, who, despite much persecution and dangerous conditions, have remained in Sudan in order to share the gospel and minister to those in need.
Pray that the Bibles that have been taken into the country will reach the internally displaced believers who need them. Pray that the word would be an encouragement to them and lead to growth, and that they would be strengthened in their faith and witness.
