Franklin Graham, president of Samaritan’s Purse and the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association, recently told Fox News that he believes the “lie of socialism” is one of the main reasons for a resurgence in church attendance among Millennials and Gen Z.
Millennial is the term used to describe the generation of those born between 1981-1996 and Gen Z describes those born between 1997-2012.
“I think it’s socialism,” Graham answered without hesitation. “I think Gen Z and Millennials have been fed the lie of socialism, and socialism is basically anti-God.” Graham believes that younger generations have “been turned off by” the idea of socialism, and “they’re asking themselves—there’s got to be something more.”
