I'd be curious to know where this contractor lives, because where I live (and as far as I'm aware, this is true across most of the country), there is no shortage of work for good contractors. Have you ever known anybody to comment on the abundance of good contractors from which to choose ? I haven't. Quite the opposite. The experience often involves poor communication, shoddy workmanship, or both.I watched a video today involving a contractor who said he loves the crackdown. He said illegals are starting to not go to work because of them. Which means he is able to do more work. He LOVES it. His fellow smaller contractors are really appreciating the fact that their businesses are in more demand. They are able to better provide for their families. Its something weve been saying. These illegals are taking American jobs.
The good contractors don't have to advertise because they can live off of word of mouth and relationships with bigger contractors. Unless you just live in a poor area where nobody has any money, IME, it's only the bad ones and the ones just starting out who want for lack of work.
