CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

It involved a labor union, probably socialists.
At one point, the protesters spilled out onto Century Boulevard, blocking cars trying to enter LAX.
However, police were able to move the protest back onto sidewalks and traffic continued to flow normally.

From what I can read of the article, it seems that the people they were blocking were merely annoyed and irritated. So, why did you choose to present it as an example of "menace"?

If they’re “menacing,” that makes it easier to justify running them over, as many conservatives have been wont to do in recent years.

A "menacing" protest is problematic but a menacing counter-repsonse, such as running them over with a car, is perfectly acceptable.

Apparently torture and burning at the stake are no longer seen as politically correct in controlling the masses, so a little menace here and there suffices. Those easily intimidated don't know how well off they are.
