I’ve been on an airplane at cruising altitude where you can clearly see the curvature of the earth. This is called observation. Have you ever been on a plane?

They are drawing conclusions which do not follow from the observations. Such as claiming the horizon always rises to eye level when all they are doing is subjectively defining the horizon as eye level, and not actually using a water level or theodolite to determine what eye level actually is.

I’m an engineer. I worked for Boing in the 80’s on components for the space shuttle. I know scientifically and by observation that the earth is a sphere. All calculations for space flight are based on a spherical earth. So yes, I know for a fact that the earth is a sphere.
