CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Sure. It's an inherent property of matter. Though you're not likely to see new life organize itself again, since it's no longer a sterile environment. There are lots of predators now. Craig Venter is/was looking to see if it may have happened in ancient times, though.

Honestly, if I were to take my faith in God and creation out of the picture and tried to be impartial in comparing the two:
random proteins combining over billions of years into more complex chemicals is pretty crazy.
some thing took a bunch of mud and made it into a person. Well, I'm not made of mud so.....
They both sound a bit out there. I can't say either one, by itself sounds more "believable".

Hovind assassinated his own character by being a lying, fraudulent conman. He needs no help from me.
Again, it's all easy to find online, and the only reason you lap up anything he says is because you agree with him regardless of anyone actually telling you and showing you that what he's said is wrong, incorrect, inaccurate and untruthful.
