  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Controversial sign in Antlers OK removed by resident

In Antlers, a sign reading “Eye for an eye, take the family out, deepest sympathy for Charlie Kirk” featuring multiple Democratic leaders, was put up Tuesday off of Highway 3 near a discount store.

"I just went and took it down myself,” said [local resident] Mack.

“About 20 minutes later, the person, came to my house that owned the sign and was very angry, respectful, but angry, told me that if I would pay restitution, that he would not have me thrown in jail, that he had already went to the police about it,” said Mack. “So I paid the restitution and it was the best $100 I’ve ever spent.”

No way would I have paid the guy a cent. I would have called police myself.

'Large cache of homemade destructive devices' | Court documents give insight into arrest of man with Molotov cocktails outside DC cathedral

The Metropolitan Police Department said Louis Geri, 41, had set up a tent on the steps of the Cathedral of St. Matthew's the Apostle on Rhode Island Avenue Northwest and refused to leave Sunday morning.

The officer reportedly told Geri that he needed to move the tent he had erected on the stairs off church grounds. That is when Geri allegedly refused and told the officer, "You might want to stay back and call the federales, I have explosives/bombs."

"Do you want me to throw one out," Geri is quoted as saying in the court documents. "I'll test one out in the street?

The officers then explained to Geri that if he did not leave, he would be removed against his will. To which, he allegedly said, "... several of your people are going to die from one of these."

[Handwritten notebook] allegedly revealed Geri's significant animosity towards the Catholic church, members of the Jewish faith, members of SCOTUS and ICE/ ICE facilities.

Powell Co. KY man arrested after Halloween decorations allegedly depict bodies of local officials

Stephan Marcum was arrested on Saturday and is charged with intimidating a witness in the legal process and third degree terroristic threatening.

"The one hanging was labeled "district judge." There was a rope around the neck of the body," the citation wrote. "From left to right the four other bodies were labeled "mayor," "SIS," "C.A." and "zoning mgr."
I might be with Mister Marcum on this one.
Upon further reading: this guy might be a sovereign-citizen. They tend to be outspoken.
But this is still probably protected political-speech.

It's a tough one, but the talk of witness intimidation may be valid if this guy is involved in some ongoing court case. Rather than a general 'I don't like these politicians and public servants.'

Man charged with terrorist threat following incident at Kansas City International

According to court documents, KCI officers were then approached by several other passengers who reported that Velasquez made statements including, “I’m going to kill the Illuminati,” and “You guys know what’s in my checked bag? Just wait until we’re up in the air.”

Officers also saw Velasquez making a finger-gun gesture and pointing it toward several nearby passengers.

'I hope it burns your [doggone] house down': Man used tiki torch to set fire to pride and other flags, said he was 'fighting for the children,' authorities say

Thomas Niehaus, 52, faces seven counts of aggravated arson and three counts of arson,Hamilton County Prosecutor Connie Pillich announced earlier this year. Now, the suspect also faces a multi-count federal indictment for his alleged actions.

It was July 30, of this year when Niehaus "targeted the homes of people displaying Pride flags" and other decorations, Pillich said.

The defendant allegedly roamed around Cincinnati in the neighborhoods of Clifton and Northside looking for targets, at one point setting fire to a "yard sign with a picture of a Ukrainian flag."

Home security videos allegedly captured the defendant setting the fires, yelling, and in some cases laughing, saying homophobic slurs and "I hope it burns your [doggone] house down," as well as, "you're dead…kill them all."

Arrest made in connection with New Jersey Election Day bomb threats

Some polling sites in NYC also fielded what officials called "swatting" threats.

It was not immediately clear whether the subject of the arrest -- a juvenile -- was also responsible for Election Day threats made against other locations.

Multiple polling places temporarily closed Tuesday morning in Northern New Jerseyafter precincts received emailed bomb threats later deemed to be not credible, prompting election officials to direct some voters to other polling places.

The threatening emails went to polling locations in New Jersey's Bergen County, Essex County, Mercer County, Middlesex County, Monmouth County, Ocean County, and Passaic County, officials said.

During the 2024 election, bomb threats called into polling stations in key swing states prompted widespread delays in voting. The FBI later said the threats likely originated from Russia.
