CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Yes they are. They've asked for police assistance and the police have done nothing to help. I watched a journalist get attacked and she contacted the police who did not help her. In fact one officer contacted the suspect in tye case told her she was detained and then when the person and her friend demanded to not be touched the officer just let her walk away. The peraon was not arrested. Then later the journalist found her again and called the police and they told her they weren't coming and that she had to go to them.
A feckless, cowardly, useless piece of garbage organization.

No, get him some truth of the matter. There is only about 20 protesters there in front of the ICE building. I think the Secret Service could handle that.
It was very peaceful in Portland. The increased ICE activity is trying to change that. And the National Guard is not even there yet.
But I think that is the point, they want their to be violence to justify the use of force.

ANTIFA has been designated as a domestic terrorist group. Whether anyone agrees with the EO or not, ANTIFA has been damaging federal property and attacking federal agents. All Trump needs to do is put national guard in front of federal buildings to protect them and the terrorist organization, that liberals claim not to exist, will miraculously organize and assemble from all across the country to protest. Eventually, because ANTIFA is incapable of self-restraint, will resort to violence and find themselves arrested. Sounds like a win win.

The good news for you is that, despite what the Right tells us, ANTIFA is an ad-hoc enterprise, with no membership rolls, no ID cards, no special tattoos, and that means your fearless leader can arrest anybody he likes for it--anybody who disagrees with him, is the wrong color or the wrong religion, supports causes he doesn't like, etc. MAGA!
