  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Roberts, who entered the country in 1999 on a student visa, was given a final order of removal by an immigration judge in May 2024, according to DHS.

At the time of his arrest, he was “in possession of a loaded handgun, $3,000 in cash and a fixed blade hunting knife,” the agency said. It’s a violation of federal law to own a firearm and ammunition if an individual doesn’t have legal status in the US.

We demand these foreigners assimilate and then when one of them finally does, suddenly they’re suspect.

/s
We demand tougher gun laws and then post our support for people who violate gun laws, and we support said felons running our schools (where children are)

Being in the country illegally isn't assimilation, it's infiltration.

Subscribing to the thug lifestyle (guns, cash, evading the police) is as American as apple pie. In a country that elects felons to high office, this is just following your lead.

Ha! The failed liberal CNN can't even get the story straight. It says a deportation judge gave the order to deport him in 2024 during Biden's failed administration. Clearly they meant 2025.

One wonders what kind of back ground check the school district did.....or didn't do.

The latest updates.

What exactly is the problem here? This is a perfect example of cultural assimilation. Isn’t this behaviour part of the citizen test?

It is EXACTLY that attitude that maintains the frequency of school shootings in America.

When will they learn that a hobby and making money should not be more important that children’s lives?

Then why are you supporting this man who was wanted for a gun violation and had a gun in his car?

It would appear that falsification of academic credentials was also at play here

Evidently, he falsely claimed that he had a Doctorate from Morgan State University, and an MBA from MIT.

Not sure if that says more about the poor vetting procedures, or about the inflated perception of "how much value an advanced degree offers in certain vocational realms".

Prior to his arrest, he seemed to be viewed by parents, teachers, and students a being very engaged with, and very good at his job.

This guy basically did a "fake it till you make it" approach, and an entire school district was none the wiser, and saw nothing to suspect that he didn't really have those degrees.

If a person can do the job for years (and apparently be considered to be "good at it") an entire school district and school board couldn't tell the difference, is there much of a difference?

Ive never understood why a PhD is considered an appropriate requirement for school admin at any level. What does your ability to do original research have to do with running a complex and often political organization?

I’m not. I’m saying he has assimilated perfectly into American society.
