• Starting today August 7th, 2024, in order to post in the Married Couples, Courting Couples, or Singles forums, you will not be allowed to post if you have your Marital status designated as private. Announcements will be made in the respective forums as well but please note that if yours is currently listed as Private, you will need to submit a ticket in the Support Area to have yours changed.

  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Ezra 1:1-6

"Everyone, that is, whose spirit had been stirred up by God—prepared to go up to build the house of the Lord in Jerusalem."

... And also, today, to build the human Church.

Luke 8:16-18

Jesus says: "A lamp is placed on a lampstand so that those who enter may see the light."

Yes, let us allow the light; the Love of God, joy, and peace to shine in all their rays.

Let us reveal to people what they have within them: God's love, joy, and peace, so that their being may radiate outwardly, opening the door to God's grace and presence, and deeply touching each person along their path.

Ezra 6:7-8, 12b, 14-20

"They set up the priests in their classes and the Levites in their divisions for the service of God in Jerusalem."

Luke 8:19-21

Some people said to Jesus, "Your mother and your brothers are standing outside and they wish to see you." He replied, "My mother and brothers are those who hear the word of God and act on it."

People who meditate on God's Love, joy, and peace allow the message, the Word of God, which is Love, to shine forth.

Ezra 9:5-9

"In slavery, our God has not abandoned us."

God was with them, and he is always with us.

Luke 9:1-6

Jesus said to the disciples: "Take nothing for the journey, neither walking stick, nor sack, nor food, nor money, and let no one take a second tunic."

In short, free yourself from what is useless, materially and in your memory, and God's love will pass through you like the wind through the air, and people will find God's presence in their hearts.

Hag 1:1-8

"Go up into the hill country; bring timber, and build the house that I may be pleased with it, and that I may be glorified, says the Lord."

God is present in consecrated churches.

Luke 9:7-9

Herod said of Jesus: "Who is this man about whom I hear such things?"

Herod wants to see this "man," Jesus.

Blessed are those who want to receive and welcome the Love of God that Jesus came to teach us. Let us welcome joy and peace within ourselves, and we welcome Jesus at the same time.

Hag 1:15b – 2:9

"I will fill this house with glory," declares the Lord Almighty.

Luke 9:18-22

Jesus asks his disciples, “Who do the crowds say that I am?” They said in reply, “John the Baptist; others, Elijah; still others, ‘One of the ancient prophets has arisen’."

This is what we still say today. Most people do not know Jesus and associate him with other people.

Let’s take this example: If a zebra had to draw God, it would draw him with black and white stripes.

Often, we think about Jesus, God, as we think we know of him, and not as he is.

Zechariah 2:5-9, 14-15a

"I will be her glory in her midst."

God is the glory in the midst of every person. It is up to us to become aware of it.

Luke 9:43b-45

"They were all amazed at his every deed."

To be amazed at a person is not to know him. Jesus reveals why:

"The Son of Man is to be handed over to men."

Lord, we hope that more people will reflect and fewer will react.

1 Tim 6:11-16

"Lay hold of eternal life."

That's easy. Let us allow God to Love us in this moment. Let us then live in peace and joy. This is eternal life.

Luke 16:19-31

Jesus tells the parable of the rich man and Lazarus to remind us to be ourselves and to be with others.

The importance of listening to others and to be with them.
