  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

This week Charlie Kirk was fatally attacked while speaking to the public. I pray for comfort for Charlie's family. What a horrible tragedy.

He has an unpublished book about the Sabbath that will still come out late in the year Titled "Stop in the name of God".

ask AI
Charlie Kirk's final book,
Stop, in the Name of God: Why Honoring the Sabbath Will Transform Your Life, is set for release on December 9, 2025

"Is already a "best seller" as judged by the pre-ordersOn Amazon, “Stop in the Name of God” has already hit number one on the retailer's Christian book charts, as well as its religion and spirituality charts (as of this writing)"

I for one plan to buy a copy of that book. I hope it encourages even more interest in the topic

Sounds like a contradiction

The Sabbath was instituted at creation for mankind. The last mention of the Sabbath day is in Acts, when the apostles were taking the gospel to the Gentiles. (Not to be confused with Colossians 2:14-17; the handwriting of ordinances.)

Or is it?

Revelation 22:10-16 And he saith unto me, Seal not the sayings of the prophecy of this book: for the time is at hand. He that is unjust, let him be unjust still: and he which is filthy, let him be filthy still: and he that is righteous, let him be righteous still: and he that is holy, let him be holy still. And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last. Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city. For without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie. I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, and the bright and morning star.
What are we called to?
  • Be righteous still
  • Be holy still
  • Do His commandments
How are we to be righteous and holy?
  • Genesis 2:3 And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made.
  • Leviticus 23:3 Six days shall work be done: but the seventh day is the sabbath of rest, an holy convocation; ye shall do no work therein: it is the sabbath of the Lord in all your dwellings.
  • Nehemiah 9:14 And madest known unto them thy holy sabbath, and commandedst them precepts, statutes, and laws, by the hand of Moses thy servant.
  • Romans 7:12 Wherefore the law is holy, and the commandment holy, and just, and good.
The Sabbath is the holy day that God made a point to emphasize from the beginning.
The Sabbath is the holy day that was changed to Sunday by man, thereby superseding God's authority. (Daniel 7:23-25)
Sunday sacredness is well-established in Christendom, negating God's fourth commandment.
What is the key issue of the end time? That of worship.
What then could the worship issue of the end time be?

Could it be that the Sabbath commandment is the single worship issue of the end time? Could it be that God planned ahead for the Sabbath to be central to His plan of salvation from the foundation of the world?

The Sabbath
  • Established at creation for mankind
  • Sanctified by God
  • Called holy
  • Commanded to Remember
  • Claimed by Jesus, the Lord of the Sabbath
  • Kept by Jesus
  • Kept by the apostles before after the crucifixion
  • Prophesied to be changed
  • The call for holiness still
  • Do His commandments, which includes the Sabbath
Sunday
  • Cannot be established in scripture as commanded to be observed as a holy day
  • <crickets>...
God established the Sabbath for mankind and called us to remember. It is His holy day of worship. He knew that it would be the central worship issue of the end time.

Of what evidence?
  • Law forcing Sunday observance almost happened in the past. Blue laws were enacted.
  • There is a movement on multiple fronts to bring Sunday (called "Sabbath rest") to the world, ultimately to be legislated.
    • Laudato Si, et al
    • Green Sabbath Project
    • Project 2025
    • World Economic Forum
    • Continuous calls for a day of rest, in articles on the internet, even congress, which in most cases is Sunday.
  • If law is established, you won't be able to buy or sell, and you may well be put to death, if you observe the Sabbath and not Sunday.
  • Who you worship determines whether you receive the mark fo the beast or the Seal of God.
The question then is, when there comes a point when it does become legislation, will you, dear reader, obey God and not man?

It bears repeating:

Revelation 22:14-16 Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city. For without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie. I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, and the bright and morning star.

Sunday sacredness has been touted as "the Sabbath" for years. There is a movement on multiple fronts to bring it into law. It happened in the past, but was stopped short of law forcing observance. As prophesied, history will repeat itself. Only this time, you won't be able to buy or sell, and you may well be put to death, if you observe the Sabbath and not Sunday.

The question then is, when there comes a point when it does become legislation, will you, dear reader, obey God and not man?

Great post!

Regarding Charlie...I can't help but wonder with Sunday law at our door, how the death of Charlie will impact people. While he was a Sabbath-keeper, how many people knew this. Will his book that has yet to come out, help people understand the Biblical Truth on God's Sabbath and true holy day, or will politics use it as a way to advance mandated Sunday observance, that many view as the "Christian" Sabbath despite no Scripture to support this view and contradictory to God's own Testimony Exo 31:18 Psa 89:34 Mat 5:18 etc. I am thinking perhaps its going to be a little of both.
