'Here we go': Trump reacts after Russian drones shot down over Poland​

"What's with Russia violating Poland's airspace with drones?" Trump said.

Polish airspace was violated by at least 19 Russian drones overnight, the country's prime minister said. The Russian action prompted NATO to scramble a response, as two Polish F-16s and two Dutch F-35s were deployed to shoot them down.

It marked the first time in the alliance's history that fighters had engaged potential targets in allied airspace, according to Col. Martin L. O'Donnell, a spokesperson for Supreme Headquarters Allied Powers Europe.

In response to the overnight incursion, the U.S. Ambassador to NATO, Matthew Whitaker, posted a short message on X: "We stand by our NATO Allies in the face of these airspace violations and will defend every inch of NATO territory."

No. Not a chance. It was certainly deliberate. It was over a dozen UAVs.

(Was it a bad decision? Probably, but that's up to NATO to enforce the error in Russia's way.)

Russia Follows Up Drone Attack on Poland by Threatening to Destroy Finland​

In a social media post from the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Medvedev issued a stark warning to Finland about “building a new ‘Mannerheim Line'” — referring to the Finnish defensive fortification built against the Soviet Union in WWII — saying that “confrontation with Russia can lead to the collapse of Finnish statehood — this time forever.”

“Unlike in 1944, no one will go soft on them this time,” Medvedev added. “As the saying goes, ‘sitä saa, mitä tilaa’ – you get
what you ask for.”
