CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Or maybe he’s just a crazy guy looking for an easy target and this was going to happen to anyone. He does have a history of mental illness. Does he have a known history of racially motivated crimes?

People focusing on the race instead of the crime. Not every black on white crime is racially motivated. What’s the evidence this one was other than he’s black, she’s white?

Looks like people are focusing on the race AND the crime to me.
I haven’t seen anyone make the claim that every black on white crime is racially motivated here.
I asked myself a similar question during the Daniel Penny and Derek Chauvin incidents. What’s the evidence this one was racially motivated other than he’s white and he’s black?
I’m sure you had the same issue with those incidents too.

Right, I didn’t say that. I said there’s no evidence this was racially motivated other than the races involved. You’re the one saying it was driven by race.
Why, what evidence is there?
My issue with Chauvin was that he choked a man to death while he was already restrained and lying on the ground, not a threat to anyone. My issue with Penny was never the racial aspect either but the vigilantism. He took it upon himself to be judge, jury and executioner.
By the sound of it, it’s you that’s been focused solely on race in each of these cases.

My thoughts on this are well documented. I know what I would do.
He should gave been placed in an institution. He wasn't safe to be on the street. He's proven that. The judge was a liberal and let him go resulting in the death of this woman.

Pretext? Lol, noting how Democrats are typically soft on crime is a fact, not a pretext.

Thats incorrect. In news reporting race is only mentioned if its white on black. If its black on white the news is far too often silent on the race. They will use all kinds of other words to avoid noting tge race. If its white on black, race is ALWAYS at the forefront.

I dont know if tgey are inherently violent or not. But you do have about 5% of the population committing 50% of the violent crime. While its true that the majority of victims of crime are victimized by their own race, white people are far more likely to be victims of black offenders that the other way around.
Those are just facts. In the case at hand i have zero idea if that man chose that woman because she was white or not. I simply note that in most black on white crimes the race is typically left out of tge story.

This poor girl. She was just sitting innocently on the train like any one of us would do. And she's dead. This wasnt done with a gun, but up close with a knife. She was here naking a life for herself and taking advantage of opportunities here. And some deranged EVIL man who was loose on tge street robbed her from her future. Her poor family. This has got to stop. We have got to do lock these people away.

Actually it was the left who made race the focus despite being no evidence of racism in either instance. So if you don’t have a problem with race being brought up in those incidents you shouldn’t have a problem with race being Brought up in this incident.

According to the family he has schizophrenia and is legitimately out of his mind. Some people who listened to the audio claims he muttered something about getting that white girl.
Man... This and the recent Charlie Kirk shooting.. I wonder if things will ever be quite the same again.

It doesn't help your case when you start pulling numbers out of thin air.
What does the law say? I highly doubt the court has the power force people into care just willy nilly. I don't remember from this thread if the call was a felony or a misdemeanor case, but I doubt the court has the power to do that unless there was violance in THIS case. They can't convict or do something solely based on previous cases, it has to be relevant to what's in front of them at the moment.
