  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Are we speaking of Trump, Clinton or JFK?
Trump. Did you forget the topic?

The difference between JFK, Clinton, Trump I, and Trump II is this:

JFK: I don't know of any SA accusations against JFK. His affairs were not known to the voters when he was elected.

Clinton: His affairs and the claims of SA were not known to the voters who elected him.

Trump I: His affairs were known and there were circulating claims of SA against him (but not the E. Jean Carroll one) when he was elected

Trump II: The above, plus the SA ruling in the E. Jean Carroll case.

Do you see the difference?

Voters didn't know about JFK or Clinton and if they did it might have blocked their election in the first place.

With Trump there are good reasons to think he was a sex pest on Election day in 2016 and by 2024 this case (the one in the title) had been adjudicated.

That's why people question the claims of moral filters of those who voted for him.

No - Australians do not have higher moral ground - thanks for mentioning it.
Oh yeah, we have our problems. But you'll note that in almost all cases involving a politician their political career came to an end. We expect those in government or in opposition to be held to account. Your excuse? Well gee, he was the best person for the job.

You seem to be blissfully unaware that that is actually the problem! Out of the whole Republican party, out of all the candidates that you had you couldn't find anyone better than a misogynist liar, a convicted felon who was found to have raped a woman. And you shrug your shoulders and say well, he was the best guy for the job!

He represents your country, for heaven's sake. And he was the best you had?

God help America.

Amen Bradskii! I’m an American and I’m ashamed of our leader. And there are a lot of Americans who are.

His policies are separate from his personal issues. He is a womanizer, braggart and who knows what ugliness he has...
Who knows? We all know. Everyone knows what type of man he is. Only yesterday he said this:

'“They said, ‘Crime’s down 87 percent.’ I said, no, no, no — it’s more than 87 percent, virtually nothing. And much lesser things, things that take place in the home they call crime. You know, they’ll do anything they can to find something. If a man has a little fight with the wife, they say this was a crime.'

Said, believe it or not, at the Religious Liberty Commission’s meeting at the Museum of the Bible in Washington, D.C: Trump downplays domestic violence in speech about religious freedom

So if you beat your wife it's only 'a little fight' and not a crime. But hey, that can apparently be ignored because of...reasons. Aren't you ashamed of him?

I read this to my 20 yr. old grandson with asperger's and he said, "That sounds like something an abuser would say." He didn't have any problem identifying the remark as denying the validity of domestic violence as a crime and self-centered, while the WH has tried to claim the opposite.
