  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I don't get what the story is here. Every year on the white house lawn they pardon a turkey. They PARDON A TURKEY! I realize some of you godless lefties want to replace God with government, but the white house lawn is not some kind of holy sacred ground. It's just not, and that's a good thing.

I dont believe chickens are "dignified" at any stage of life. But thats neither here not there as these would certainly be unfertilized store eggs.

In any event, I recall an old 19th century saying about dignity and American exceptionalism - in every place on Earth, the common man tips his hat to the leader. America was the first place where the leader tips his hat to the common man.

Maybe the left should hold a simultaneous event hosted by Gov. Walsh - Perhaps a nice drag show.

It would be a good way to judge who the middle class is drawn to.

I wouldn't go to either but I think playing dress up and dance aeound is healthier than watching people beat the snotty outta each other.
