It was not asked privately - why should the response be private and why are you interjecting yourself into this?
If it's not a private conversation why are you whining about my participation in the thread? Seems unnecessarily cranky. You've already commented about my answering a not private question, twice. It's either private or not private.

Can you admit anything positive about Trump?
I think he's done some decent things in office here and there. "Operation Warp Speed" comes to mind. Tho clearly any president in his position would have given that the go ahead - except for a hypothetical president RFK. Still, he did it.

Mainly tho, I see him as a man of fundamentally bad character, who should be working that out and learning his life lessons off in the private world somewhere. Not in the highest seat of power.

How JPMorgan Enabled the Crimes of Jeffrey Epstein

A Times investigation found that America’s leading bank spent years supporting — and profiting from — the notorious sex offender, ignoring red flags, suspicious activity and concerned executives.

Epstein’s crimes have been exhaustively documented, and elements of JPMorgan’s relationship with Epstein have become public via legal proceedings in the United States and Britain. But the full story of how America’s leading lender enabled the century’s most notorious sexual predator has not been told. This account has been pieced together from thousands of pages of internal bank records, sealed deposition transcripts and other court documents and financial data, as well as interviews with people with direct knowledge of the Epstein relationship. Among the findings: Bank officials for more than a decade were anxious about Epstein’s prolific wire transfers and cash withdrawals — JPMorgan ultimately processed more than $1 billion in such transactions for him — and warned senior management about his suspicious activities. But on at least four occasions over five years, the bank’s leaders overrode those objections and continued to serve Epstein.

Ignoring the politics of this situation
law enforcement clearly did the wrong thing
If there are many separate allegations from many separate underage women how a certain individual lured them to their mansion and raped them and it is clear they visited the mansion alone then there should have been an immediate arrest and trial.

I don't think I've seen this mentioned anywhere on this board yet and it's off topic but among the thousands of [movement that is not allowed to be named on this forum because it is deemed too harmful, toxic, and insane] -posts that Trump spreads on his socials there was this one where he seems to amplify the conspiracy theory that *all* vaccines are poison.

This after the news that Florida is getting rid of ALL vaccine mandates for schools.

He came out in favor of vaccines this week! He said, “Vaccines work.” Unfortunately he appointed an antivax crank with no public health experience or knowledge to be in charge of the nation’s healthcare.

I think speaking out of both sides of his mouth is a political strategy. He'll make a statement and then a while later he'll state its negation. That way you can't pin him down on anything. Is he for vaccines or does he think they're poison? His base will only glom onto the statements that they personally like and forget that also said the exact opposite. The ones who think vaccines are a net positive will have heard him say likewise and that's all they need. This shifting of positions is very hard to keep up with. It's a way to always have cover.

Of course it could also be the case that he always walks away with the opinion of the last person he spoke to. It's possible that at the time he posted "all vaccines are poison" the last people he spoke to were Mark and David Geier. Two anti-vaccine activists (who respectively lost their medical license / never had one), as they are leading an inquiry within the Department of Health and Human Services, at the direction of Trump and RFK Jr., into debunked assertions of a link between vaccines and autism.

If you asked him about either position my bet is that he would say, “Did I say that? I can’t believe I said that.”

This is accurate. The only point I question is "then a little while later he'll state its negation" because so often he'll do it within the same statement.

UK ambassador to US fired over Epstein ties

British Prime Minister Keir Starmer has abruptly fired the U.K.’s ambassador to the United States, Peter Mandelson, following the release of emails revealing he had closer ties to convicted pedophile Jeffrey Epstein than were previously known.

The string of emails, released by The Sun newspaper on Wednesday, showed Mandelson expressing sympathy and support for Epstein in 2008 as he battled his first conviction for soliciting prostitution from a minor.

"The emails show that the depth and extent of Peter Mandelson’s relationship with Jeffrey Epstein is materially different from that known at the time of his appointment," it added.

Isn't this what we want out of the disclosures? This is not a hoax.
