Is there a betting pool about when it blows up?
Since Musk has abandoned his hands on contribution to the introduction of facism to the USA he may have given renewed attention to SpaceX. Consequently, I predict it will not blow up.

Musk is no rocket scientist. His main area of expertise is overpromising.

The attention I speculated he would apply was not that of an engineer, but that of a project manager. While I don't approve of his Attila the Hun managerial style it has produced success in the past. (As well as failure, but that's the Edison "thousand ways not to make a light bulb" approach.)

I think we're still a couple hundred rockets shy of the "thousand ways not to make a rocket" end goal.

I'll remind you of this post in a year, whichever way it turns out.

This is how the Russians ran their space program and was ultimately a bad plan as they lost the race to the moon.

Trial-and-error to some extent but high quality engineering is still fundamental. The Russians are worse in engineering quality

SpaceX's Starship completes successful mission during 10th test flight

After reaching space on a suborbital trajectory, Starship deployed a series of Starlink simulators, which SpaceX said are similar in size to the next generation of the device, and was the first time the company has deployed a payload [with Starship I assume]. The vehicle then relit one of its six engines. The deployment and relight were two key objectives that Starship was unable to perform during the last flight, and crucial for future orbital missions.

And unlike the last several missions that ended prematurely due to technical problems, SpaceX returned Starship to Earth with a landing burn and splashdown in the Indian Ocean, west of Australia, a little over an hour after liftoff, a critical milestone for the company.

A buoy camera captured the splashdown and appeared to show an explosion after Starship landed in the water. The explosion isn’t an unexpected outcome as the spacecraft isn’t designed for water landings and will eventually return to the launch pad upon completion of the mission.

The accuracy of targeting, given the extent to which they were pushing the limits on sub-orbital profile and vigorous fin manipulation, was impressive.

I understand* that the explosion was not only expected, but desired. Unexploded, they would have had to deploy a vessel to sink the craft. I presume realtime telemetry gave them all the data they needed for a full analysis.

*If anyone has definitive contrary information I would be interested to know it.
