Trump goes after mail-in voting and election machines; "States are merely an “agent” for the Federal Government", must do what President says

No the drop in votes can be better explained with a less popular candidate in 2024. I believe either Harris or Biden would have got about the same number of votes. People were just less motivated to vote for a Democrat last election.
I don't think Joe would have received as many votes as Kamala given the debate. Some voters had to be afraid because of his apparent mental state.

He can try, but he will be violating the law and should be immediately arrested.

The Constitution makes no exception to the end of a presidential term (or Congressional one for that matter) because of war or other emergency.

Presidential term limits are part of the Constitution. Presidents aren't even part of the process of changing the Constitution

We have no prime minister. Even if elected by the House as Speaker, he would not have the executive powers of the President, only the power to preside over the House.
To serve a third term Trump could be on a ticket as vice-president, and then if the elected president (maybe Melania or Don Jr.) resigned Trump could assume the office of president.

3 ways Trump will remain president. 1. We will be at war.
Here’s hoping!
2. Trump will do away with term limits.
More powerful than the Constitution!
3. Trump will declare himself a prime minister or another title akin to it.
PM’s only work under parliamentary system.

Mentally, we get stuck on our early 30's, while physically, we get old and die.
50 is the new 30!

The qualifications to be VP are the same as President. No one who has been elected twice as President is eligible to be VP.

The Constitution is made out of amendments, therefore it's subject to being amended.

A trump supported said "I know President Trump can't run in 2028, but I have a Trump 2028 sticker on my car just to provoke liberals." No wonder politics are so divisive.
That's risky considering what they did to Teslas.

Yeah several million more votes than anyone running for president has ever gotten before or after. Bit fishy.
As the population grows, so does the number of registered voters, especially when they're not stuck at work on Election Day. But if you have evidence of fraud, bring it forth! Or fifth!

Trump is eligible for a third term, he just cannot be elected for a third term.

Sure, but there is an established process for that. And the President is not part of that process.

-- A2SG, Trump may not know he has to uphold the Constitution, but the rest of us do....

If he cannot be elected to the office, how is he eligible for it?

-- A2SG, seems fishy to me....

It only took a little over 9 months to repeal the 18th amendment. And Trump is going to be like Warren Buffett and George Soros when it comes to longevity. Like them he'll still be going strong in his 90s.
All right then. Keep us posted on your progress, won't ya?

-- A2SG, what's happened so far?

So you think I'm Donald Trump eh? Okey dokey.
No, you're far too articulate and cogent to be Trump. You just seem very much concerned with this particular issue, so I figured you'd be involved at some level. Certainly more than I intend to be.

-- A2SG, besides, Trump can't be involved, since the president plays no role in amending the Constitution....

Ah trying to turn the discussion into being about the poster, rather than sticking to the topic. Bad form.
No, I simply asked to be kept informed of the progress of the endeavor to secure a third term for Trump. You assumed, for some reason, that meant I thought you were Donald Trump, and I'm simply trying to clear up that misapprehension. Nothing more than that.

If you'd like to continue discussing the possible ways Trump could secure a third term, by all means, be my guest.

-- A2SG, or if you'd prefer to discuss how woefully misinformed Trump is about the Constitution, we could do that too.....

1. The US Constitution doesn't suspend elections in time of war. The US held presidential elections during the Civil War, World War II, and Vietnam.

2. The two-term limit is a result of 22nd Amendment. To end the two-term limit requires another constitutional amendment, and that would take two-thirds of both houses of congress or a constitution convention and two-thirds of the states, then has to be ratified by 3 quarters of the states. Unless the Democrats hope to run Obama again, they're not about to support it.

3. Our government is set up by the US Constitution. To shift to a system with a prime minister or "El Presidente" for life would require a revolution. Despite what the Democrats here claim, most Republicans and Americans wouldn't support it.

Oh sure because you're no able to do that on your own lol. We're done.
Oh, okay then. I still wish you good luck on that endeavor, though.

Five pages for a topic that started two days ago.

Has anyone brought up that the means of choosing electors is left to the states, that in our first election the electors were selected by state legislators? Surely someone has brought up that the means of conducting presidential elections is left to the states. At the most, Trump's executive order will be a cheer leading section to pressure states to do away with mail order ballots except for those unable to go to the polls, and to revamp voting machines. It will have no more legal weight than that.
