Yes, often (always) there are many Americans who aren't doing well even though the economy as a whole is doing well.

That is indeed a policy problem, but the problem is NOT the state of the economy. The problem is the inadequacy of the safety net, most obviously concerning food, shelter, job training and opportunities, and health.

It actually works the other way around. The increasing prices at stores like Home Depot are what is measured to determine inflation rates.

My point was that it shouldn't be a surprise if Home Depot increases its price in 2025 or in any other year.

That is something other than the normal rate of anticipated inflation.
