If they hadn't learned to splice the DNA how else could they have produced these monsters ?

But you are still assuming two things: 1) that the book of Jasher is absolutely true, and 2) that people brought monsters into existence. Certainly the passage from Jasher you quoted doesn't say where the monsters came from.

Sorry, that was careless wording on my part. What I meant was that it doesn't mention the origin of the monsters. It certainly doesn't say that they were the result of human beings messing around with DNA.

OK, but first, that wasn't what you quoted, and second, if it was in the bible, I would believe it. As it isn't, I see o reason whatever to believe it. The bible as far as I know says nothing that even resembles it.
