Hi AdB,

I think Luke 21:40 is referring to the rapture.

The rapture will be a different event from Jesus's return.

Jesus will return on last day of the 7 years, once the Antichrist makes a big speech from the temple mount to begin the 7 years.

It (truth) must and only can be revealed by the Creator, at His Own Good Pleasure.

I agree. Not only will the unbelieving world not be ready for Christ's sudden appearance but believers also are not given to know the precise day and hour of his Return.

But we are told that we can recognize signs of his relative soon appearance. That's why John gave us the Revelation, not just to prepare ourselves for antichrists through the age but also to prepare the last generation for the final Antichrist.

This is a sign of the soon appearance of Christ. In fact, we know the length of Antichrist's Reign--it will be 1260 days. But this may be the period of his unchallenged world reign before his Kingdom begins to fracture.

After the 1260 days the 2 Witnesses are killed and lie in the street for 3.5 days before they are caught up. And then there is the unknown length of time in which troops from the East are called to Armageddon, numbering in many millions.

This would require at least months. So, nobody knows the day or the hour when the battle begins. And unbelievers across the world will certainly not recognize the signs at all. Unbelievers will not even recognize the Antichrist for who he is.

But believers are Children of the Day and recognize the signs of good and evil. We will be prepared in advance by the righteousness by which we are guided. We will be ready well before Christ actually returns.

If someone trusts man/men, The Creator is Pleased to curse that one who puts trust in man.

Randy, the rapture and Jesus's return are two different events.

Once that the abomination of desolation is set up, Jesus's return will be 1335 days later. Daniel 12:12.

Daniel 12:
11 And from the time that the daily sacrifice shall be taken away, and the abomination that maketh desolate set up, there shall be a thousand two hundred and ninety days.

12 Blessed is he that waiteth, and cometh to the thousand three hundred and five and thirty days.

That's because many will think he's already arrived by the time. They fell for the fake Christ that arrives first. It goes hand in hand with these verses-

I Thessalonians 5:2 "For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night."

I Thessalonians 5:3 "For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape."

That's why he states he comes back at an hour most do not expect. They will be saying "peace and safety" and then bam, he returns. The peace is the fake peace that the false one brings. Most of the world will fall for it. We have to be careful (foolish Virgins, etc)

We are to be watchman and watch for the signs he lays out in case in happens in one's lifetime.


Matthew 24:43 "But know this, that if the goodman of the house had known in what watch the thief would come, he would have watched, and would not have suffered his house to be broken up."

I agree, with the caveat that God has given the church pastors, prophets, and teachers, for His teachings.
No man will be cursed for heeding the words of His bishops.
