International aid organizations have tonnes of food they can let through. Israel just has to guarantee free and safe passage.
Hamas' food wouldn't be valuable anymore.
They want them to die. The leadership even tries to dehumanized them...explicitly saying that is their desire.
It's pretty clearly genocide. Enough experts in genocide who know what they're talking about have suggested it is so.
All of this to say Israel could also turn on water; or are the brain dead among us supposed to say that hamas will steal that too?
Or they could turn on the power. Or just not treat or think of them as animals.

Prior to Oct. 7, Israel did supply Palestine with water and electricity, since Hamas refused to spend the money to provide it for them. They still provide water to them, but not sure if they still supply electricity.

You have a very strange idea about what happened on October 7 and has been happening for decades.
Easy? With Hamas its easy? You have no idea who you are dealing with do you. Much like most of the advanced world, who hasnt had to deal with them.
You think Hamas care a wit for capitalism?
I dont think we needed anything remotely associated with imagination. We have many years of actual history to fall back on to let us know how awful they make things.
Becauae Hamas would steal it, that they've already shown to do, and will kill people relying to get it.

Some people are just blind to the power imbalances. A police action that has the effect of killing off the population still amounts to genocide, regardless of how you justify it.

Yes. The problem is how they are dealing with them....the starving the children thing; the setting up their own distribution points (and dismantle tlingnun ones) and then hitting children and adults with sniper fire.
That was a circular response.
It is baffling to me that Israeli supporters see 11 instances of the use of human shields by hamas and use that as ongoing justification to kill children and have the cahones to say hamas are barbaric.
How many armed attacks have the idf perpetrated against Palestinians and gazans? 10s of thousands. Some of those stories are just as if not more barbaric; there are certainly enough examples of war crimes.
And yet hamas is seen as brutish animals.
Gimme a break with this human shield thing.
Folks all now PRESUME that hamas are using human shields witb every attack. That is not true but some people are stupid and have no real ethical response to the idf and what they're doing so the only response is an antiquated reported that is beyond exceedingly rare or that ANYTHING that touches or comes from Muslims can't be trusted as honest.
Israel conjured up a report with 11 events and you guys Have clung to that as some kind of life raft in an ocean that is otherwise bereft of moral reasoning.

You chasing a straw man. I am not an Israel supporter. I detest terrorists organizations like Hamas. These terrorist organizations expose their civilians to the results of their failed terrorist actions and you drink the kool aid by supporting them.
Nah. Every time the IDF has responded militarily has been in response to a Hamas attack. And Hamas uses the Palestinian people as shields to maximize the casualty count and play the fake news card.

I think it's safe to say there have been a few bad actors on both sides of the conflict. Moreover, the weighted emotional freight that pushes against the peace process in Israel / Palestine / Gaza Strip has been in the making for over 120 years. This current manifestation of that same conflict is unfortunately freighted by its larger history. As much as we ALL would like to see this conflict and its attending suffering on both sides end, there's just so much more in the memory of both peoples caught in this, and for too long, that it just keeps spilling over on both sides.
With that said, I'm taking a sort of 'middle' view, with the same hope that the current episode of conflict in Gaza can resolve quickly and turn into a more humanitarian direction. All this 'moralized' mudslinging on both sides does nothing to solve the problem.
