It doesn't matter if you look out yo sea and can't see the curvature, a circle is still curved. You would be able to see it if you were above it - as indeed the astronauts were.

Right, so you believe that the earth has curved edges, as a coin does, but not a curved surface, as a ball or an orange does. I don't agree, but at least that is clear. I am still not at all sure what you meant when you said that a circle curves but the earth doesn't, though.

I have lost count of the number of times we have discussed this. Isaiah does not say that the earth is a flat disc. He says that the Lord sits upon the circle of the earth, not that He sits upon the earth and the earth is a circle.

Couple or three comments:
1) Isaiah 40:22 needs to be read in context, not as an isolated line of text.
1) The passage is prophetic poetry. Isaiah is writing about the future using poetry.
2) Within this section of chapters, Isaiah 40:10-31 is describing the greatness of God.

40:22 is not describing the earth in literal terms. Using this verse to claim that the Bible teaches that the earth is flat or is a globe is bad comprehension. Where are the scales that are big enough to weigh mountians (v12) or islands (v15)? Where are your wings (v31)?
